"Excellent Fish, Superb Service"

Not only does The Fish Society have a wonderful variety of the freshest fish at very fair prices, but the service is absolutely excellent.I give this company full marks for the quality of its fish, the awareness of climate change in its wrapping, and its eagerness to correct any mistake that a carrier might have made.

"Check company first"

The fish arrived in a wet box, fish half thawed, not safe to eat, i am appalled and very disappointed a company spokesperson stated that the fish is ok, also i can freeze it again as is, not in my world. He was rude abrupt and most unprofessional. Never again, fish gone into the dustbin…

"Delayed Order"

Ordered some Langestines, King Scallops and King Prawns for a special anniversary dinner. This was dispatched on the 7th May and was meant to arrive with us in Chichester on the 9th May.
We stayed in all day on the 9th, as we did not know what courier was been used, we had no tracking number so couldn't have tracked had we known anyway.
I emailed The Fish Society after 5pm on the 9th asking for a full refund. On the 10th I had an email from DHL stating they would deliver our order on the 10th, but no time slot given. I had an email back from the Fish Society apologising for the delay but our order SHOULD still be OK as even if the items had defrosted we could refreeze them.....
I booked an anniversary lunch for my wife and I because we had been let down. Whilst we were out, at 1300hrs, the package was left by some plant pots in the full sun. It was 22° and this package stayed there until we returned at 1600hrs.
I opened the package, which was already smelling quite fishy, prior to opening.
All the dry ice had gone. The items were just about chilled at the most. This package had been on the road for 4 days (To travel 38 miles), then left in the full sun for 3 hours and Customer Services tell me it's OK to refreeze these items......terrible....

"DPD delivered to the wrong location and…"

DPD delivered to the wrong location and The Fish Society customer service were not prepared to do anything about it. I gave them a deadline of 1pm to find my missing order otherwise I would refuse the delivery. Delivery never arrived and the customer service quotes T&C's to get out of providing any help. I ordered sushi grade salmon with the intention to eat it raw so would not eat it even if does arrive as I have no idea where it has been kept whilst DPD lost the parcel. And they have the cheek to stick Gordon Ramsay's face all over the website!!

"Worth the extra"

I love fish and have been using The Fish Society for about 3 years now. The products are on the expensive side but the range of stock on offer is better than anything I can get locally. The quality is good. Customer Service is generally good.

"Overly priced products"

Overly priced products. I bought a mixture of Sea Bass, Salmon, Lemon Sole, Dover Sole, Red Mullet and Mussels in a wine sauce. The Mussels were dreadful, I have honestly bought better at Morrisons. The Sea Bass was lovely, but again, Morrisons is just as nice at half the price, same with the salmon. I haven't had the rest as of yet, but seriously, save your money, rip off....

Just received our second delivery from The Fish Society and again it was perfect. The lobsters were amazing and at a really good price. I would highly recommend them!
