"One word perfect"

Had dressed crab delivered and it was still frozen, absolutely fantastic, I would highly recommend the fish society good quality, so happy with my order, thank you

"Mussels and chips poor quality"

Mussels and chips. Lots of broken shells and the mussels were gritty and no taste to them. Won’t be buying again. Chips were the only nice thing.

"As slippery as the fish they sell!!!"

Ordered nearly £200 worth of seafood.
Dpd delivery driver left parcel on doorstep in full view of passers by(live on a school road so imagine the amount of human traffic)
Was at work, so praying nobody saw parcel or a neighbour took it in for safety. Got back home after 18:00, no parcel. Asked neighbours, nobody had it. Phoned The Fish Society and they were closed. Next morning I phoned again and explained i didn't have my parcel, must have been stolen, etc etc.
Was told I would be phoned back. Phone call never arrived,instead I received an email stating I should have notified them soon after the one hour window i received from dpd that parcel would be delivered. Then they would have been able to do something.
So unfortunately nothing could be done on their side and I was to be £200 out of pocket!!! Tried to wash their hands of the situation, completely!!
I responded back explaining I was at work, didn't know parcel was missing until I got home so unless I had a crystal ball it would have been impossible for me to contact them at 15:00 informing them of no parcel. I told them they need to take this up with dpd, not my issue as I purchased from them and not dpd. Therefore I want a refund or replacement of items.
The petulant woman who emailed me didn't even have the decency to email me back again.
She just tried to wash her fishy hands (no pun intended!!) of the situation stating they are bound by dpd rules.
Well, thankfully I purchased through PayPal!!! Please guys make sure you all do the same if you are to purchase from this slippery (no pun intended!) company, although I strongly advise against using them!
I raised a dispute,to which The Fish Society responded back on the last day they had left to respond. A blatant act of spite, trying as long as they can to avoid paying me back or a replacement.
They sent the tracking details saying it was delivered and GPS shows correct location.
All of which I never disputed but is no proof i received it. Also sent the courier picture of the parcel doorstepped/left outside my door. No door open, no signature no proof of anything. Just proof it was delivered, but no proof it was received.
I escalated the claim to PayPal quoting the above points and they ruled in my favour!! Thank you PayPal!!
I will never use this company ever again and I suggest anyone reading this doesn't either, unless you are willing to risk potentially losing your money.
Totally petulant, unhelpful and rude customer service. They claim Gordon Ramsay says they are the best online Fish seller!
Well if he went through what I did, he would soon change his words.
Please people, avoid this company AT ALL COSTS!!!

"“Sorry for the inconvenience” 😂"

I’ve placed an order eight days ago to give that company enough time for Christmas delivery and when it didn’t arrive all they said was “sorry for the inconvenience” when there’s no time to order it from responsible people - never again!

"Avoid at all costs"

I recently ordered seafood from The Fish Society for a Christmas, hoping for a delightful seafood experience.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing on multiple fronts. The promised delivery by 1 pm did not materialise, and the late arrival disrupted my plans significantly. The seafood, upon arrival, seemed past its prime, emitting an off-putting odour, which made it unsuitable for consumption.

Moreover, the customer service experience was less than satisfactory. Attempts to address these issues were met with challenges, as the responses were unhelpful and the resolution offered did not align with the inconvenience caused.

I had high hopes for this order, but the overall experience fell short, leaving me dissatisfied and inconvenienced. I would advise caution and consideration of other options before choosing The Fish Society for your seafood needs.

"Poor Quality Product"

Paid a huge amount of money for a seafood platter and scallops - most of which was half defrosted and mushy on delivery. This was meant to be a treat for Christmas Day.
Customer service was curt and unhelpful. Was told to stick it back in the freezer, despite it having defrosted in poor packaging.
Don’t get ripped off like I have!

"Below par delivery"

I have bought items from the Fish Society on a few occasions and I usually like their products. However their delivery service seem to let them down. On the first occasion, no-one knocked (we were at home awaiting the delivery). Of course we could have checked our email etc, but a simple knock at the door would have been good.
This time, one of the dressed crab shells was badly broken, with bits of shell all over the crabmeat - very disappointing.
It's little point providing an excellent product which ends in disappointment, all because of the delivery company. I wanted to give 2 stars, but that would not be fair to the product itself.

"Arrogant poor customer service on a Christmas order they state may arrive and may be as ordered!?"

Having been a previous repeated Customer I was gobsmacked to receive an arrogant message from Alastair of the Fish Society for my two Christmas Orders. He said there were 16 customers who's orders they could not guarantee timings NOR correct quantities of!!! They were simply too busy to deal with this error but he thinks it won't make a difference and they will refund any missing items in January!!!! UNBELIEVABLE. We are having Fish for Christmas lunch so your error has left us v anxious about what will arrive and when...shocking....thanks for nothing but anxiety and disappointment
