"Stunning door. Issues with after sales which were resolved"

The door itself is 5 star. It is stunning and wonderfully made. There is really a lot of care and attention to detail with the fittings packs - going as far as including the correct drill bits and so on for a job well done. Delivery was also incredibly prompt.

The only reason I'm knocking one star off was due to my initial experience with after sales which was not pleasant. Eventually a manager eventually called me, explained the situation better, listened, took on my feedback and helped move the situation forward.

Website easy to follow, the doors I chose were not an exact fit, however our carpenter made up the sides of the opening, so pleased with the doors we chose, look fantastic!

"Aftercare is not great!"

I purchased two of the fold flat doors 1.5m and 1.8m. One of the sets is perfect and look great! The smaller set the veneer on one of the doors has lifted. I sent a picture of the veneer and the treatment i used, this was for them to build the ‘not our fault story’ i was then requested to send a picture of the full door set but they had been taken down by the joiner. I wasn’t paying for the doors to be put back on and to save the hassle paid £200 for the spare door. They took this from me quicker than you can imagine.
They had everything to see this wasnt through our fault yet insisted on the full set picture.
Quick to take your money, quick to find an excuse.
If you have no issues, delivery is quick and doors look good.

"Disappointing after care."

Doors are great, arrived on time, sales team excellent. But if something goes wrong - watch out! Damaged door and hinge. Vufold say it was not them, the fitters say it was not them. No help from Vufold at all, had to buy the spare part and fit it myself. Having spent over £5000 I would have expected a little more support and commitment. Defensive, intransigent attitude spoiled our experience Surely there was room for good will? - Not so from Vufold.

"Long delivery time"

When purchasing the doors it stated 6 weeks delivery time, we are now in the 8th week and I still can't get a confirmed answer when it will be delivered. I'm sure these door will be great when they arrive but if you require them by a certain date then maybe look elsewhere.

"I cannot praise this company enough"

I cannot praise this company enough. Firstly the quality of the product is outstanding. Secondly the customer service is excellent. From placing my order I received regular updates by telephone on the progress of my order right down to confirmation when it would be dispatched from the factory to the expected delivery to my home which were all met. The Door came with full protective wrapping and everything you need to install your door including the drill bits etc. The instructions are very easy to follow enabling you to install the door so easy. My builder removed my old PVC patio door and installed the Bi Fold in under 5 Hours and it looks amazing. The door just glides open so smoothly. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking to purchase any of their products. Thank You Vu Fold for providing such a great service and product.

"First class delivery and top class product"

We chose Vufold 8 feet wide internal Finesse doors in white with a bottom track to open up our conservatory into the house.

Delivery to Devon was within the promised 3 days and the doors arrived well packed in several parts that clearly showed the frame, the hardware and the doors themselves.

We employed a professional builder to install the frame - we needed him anyway to remove the old access door, a couple of windows and part of the block wall. He took his time to make sure that the frame met the requirements listed on the supplied leaflet and then he handed the door assembly over to us.

As retired folks of 81 and 76 we were a little challenged by the task but following the directions of the supplied booklet we managed it with just a few hiccups. The first was in deciding which was the opening side. It took a short phone call to Customer Services to sort that out.

Most of the assembly went smoothly, we found that the Allen Key adjustment on door 1 using the supplied key was slow but luckily we had a ratchet screwdriver with the right size hex key that speeded that process up.

Fitting door 2 was the trickiest. That intermediate guide in the bottom channel took some figuring out as to which way it went in and then having got that, holding the door steady while fitting the top guide - another Allen Key job - was not easy as the door kept moving along the track. But we did figure it out eventually.

Door 3 is the easiest to fit, followed by all the draught excluders (of which plenty is supplied).

Adjusting the operation of the doors and getting the correct spacing is straightforward although the advice to move the position of the doors from the pivot point in order to get the latch to fit tightly is not an easy solution. If you move the doors towards the latch you run the risk that the drop bolts on door 2 don't fit into the holes in the plates.

But overall definitely 5 stars and we would recommend Vufold whole heartedly. If we can do it anyone can, but our advice would be to get a professional to fit the frame.
