"Visa Credit card rejected "

Hello,

I booked a car in Dubrovnik on 16/09 and I wanted to use my Visa Gold credit card, which I used in other countries for the deposit without any problem. The card I used for the deposit is a CREDIT card and I was well aware that you required a credit card for this operation. But after the operator made some manipulation with the bank card device, the deposit was refused. I asked her to try again three times in a row and a fourth time with a smaller amount because there was no reason for it to be refused. She made several times the same operation and my card was systematically refused although I inserted it in the device and put my PIN. We were forced to take the full insurance which required no deposit. After checking with our bank, they confirmed that our card was working normally but that it showed systematically that the attempts were made using the contactless system when in fact I had been inserting it in the device and putting my PIN. Your Terms and Conditions do not mention that the credit card must have the contactless option activated and, by measure of security, I do not use this option with my credit card. Your employee had been notified of this and did not mention it would be a problem. I suspect that the deposit was rejected due to wrongful manipulation by your operator with a view to get me to buy the full insurance which I did not need. I intend to report this to the Belgian consumer association as from reading comments from unsatisfied customers I noticed that there have been other cases of proper credit card being refused (I am not referring to customers trying to make a deposit with a debit card). I am therefore extremely unhappy by this experience with your company and will not be using it in the future.

"Die Frau war von an Anfang an zickig…"

Die Frau war von an Anfang an zickig und genervt, es ging schon mal gut los. Wir waren 2 Stunden früher da, wenn wir 40 EUR bezahlen können wir auch das Auto jetzt haben. Fand ich schon mal eine miese Abzocke da wir mit Bus hingefahren sind und das die einzige Verbindung war ansonsten wären wir zu spät. Naja gegen Richtlinien kann man Ende nichts machen die Art und Weise der Frau hat mich aber zur Weißglut gebracht. An diesem Tag war Tornado Warnung und Starkregen. Als wir in Biograd angekommen sind stand das Wasser bis an die Hüfte. Als wir Zuhause angekommen sind merkten wir das vorne das Kennzeichen ab war. Wir rufen erst in Zadar an und dann ging ausgerechnet diese Hexe an das Telefon. Sie machte so Druck mit Aussagen wie ja wir müssen das Auto wieder ab und anmelden neues Kennzeichen beantragen gehen bla bla. Gehen Sie das Kennzeichen suchen kam außerdem. Bei Starkregen und Tornado soll ich das Kennzeichen suchen? Kein beruhigendes Wort, kein Lösungsvorschlag oder geschweige denn was ich jetzt machen soll. Dann haben wir selber nachgelesen was wir machen sollen und sind pro aktiv selber zur Polizei gegangen und habe. Es angezeigt. Später haben wir dann den Support angerufen der sehr hilfsbereit war und uns bisschen beruhigt hat und uns gesagt hat das wir alles richtig gemacht haben. So weit so gut. An dem Tag wo wir zum Flughafen gefahren sind und die Heimreise angetreten haben, bin ich in Biograd zur Tankstelle und hab das Kfz vollgetankt. Am Flughafen sagten sie uns der Tank sei nicht voll da fehlen 5 Euro wir berechnen Ihnen 50 Euro. Mein Fehler war das ich kein Foto gemacht habe denn genauso habe ich das Kfz übernommen. Teurer Spaß. Dann für das Nummernschild 450 Euro...Ich meine es war kein Totaldschaden, kein Kratzer, nichts und dafür 450 Euro? Und wer war an dem Tag da ? Die respektlose Mitarbeiterin + ein genau so nicht hilfsbereiter Adipöser Kollege. Avia sollte die beiden echt mal zum Gespräch bitten und sie mal schulen wie man mit Menschen umgeht. Die Strafen fand ich genau so heftig für Kleinigkeiten. Nie wieder!!!! Ich rate jedem davon ab!!

The same unprofessional company.
They never told us that is our private insurance they like to pressure that we HAVE TO MAKE E NEW INSURANCE. BECAUSE OUR INSURANCE HAS NO VALID IN CAR JET.!!!!!!
THERE ARE NO SIGN OUTSIDE.
AND WE CALLED A LOT OF TIMES BUT NOBODY TOOK THE PHONE.

SO YOU CANNOT SAY PERDON?
THIS IS UNPROFESSIONAL PURE 100%
But it was not Avia it was car jet

We hired a car for one week.
First we could not find the station

It is outside the parking area.
The lady who treated my husband was so bad person.
So unkindly.
And threated him because we had made an insurance by the renting. Platinum insurance.
She told my husband that this is not an insurance for the car

All scratches and all little points on the wires she will him let pay when he brings back the car the next week.
Like 450€ minimum
If he not make an extra insurance by 150€ extra charge now.
Owful.
The lady has to change his job.
I am not sure that the company of a avia car like to have people working like this.
And also they told us that it needed 4 weeks until the pay back the deposit of 1.100€????
Never heard this.

Please give us an feedback about this bad renting impression. We are renting four times the year and never we had this problems.

Friendly and efficient staff with a well maintained vehicle. The rating would be excellent if there was a shuttle at the Split airport to assist customers with luggage handling to the terminal that is 100 meters away from vehicle return.

"Delayed Refund Practices at AVIAI don’t like that the guarantee payment…"

I don’t like that the guarantee payment (EUR 450) isn’t returned immediately after the rental car is returned, as it is when the payment is made. I was told that 'the rental contract is now canceled, and you will receive the money in 3 weeks.' It seems like AVIA is not just a car rental company but also acting like a bank, letting you lend them money for free

"Nur Abzocken und null Service!"

Mietwagen im Vorfeld gebucht, extra Versicherung zur Reduzierung der Selbstbeteiligung abgeschlossen. Wird vor Ort nicht anerkannt, man soll trotzdem 2.100 € Selbstbehalt zahlen bzw. als Kaution hinterlegen oder nochmal für 200 € Mehrpreis eine zusätzliche Versicherung abschließen.
Dann mit dem Auto nachts um 1 Uhr losgefahren, nach 500m Reifendruckmeldung. Zurückgefahren, niemand mehr da. Assistance-Hotline nicht erreichbar. An der Tankstelle Luft geprüft, ein Reifen verliert Luft. Am nächsten Morgen nochmal die Hotline versucht, endlich jemanden erreicht. Aussage: Fahren Sie zu einer Werkstatt und lassen Sie es reparieren, wir bezahlen das dann. Auf die angeforderte schriftliche Bestätigung warte ich heute noch immer. Nur Abzocken und null Service!

"Would highly recommend!"

We booked a VW T-Roc on a deal for £400 which is a good price to start with. Upon arrival, we received a free upgrade to a DS 4 which was fantastic for us, comfortable, seats with heated and cooling features and seat massagers as well! Very happy customers following this! The full insurance cover is what we opted just incase anything happened, which was worth it because we got a puncture. Due to the insurance, an Avia representative came out within 25 minutes to swap the car for a Peugeot 3008. Which is still a good car!

Overall, Avia were very helpful, quick and did their upmost to help us. Would highly recommend!
