"Good prices will lure you in"

After purchasing car hire for 22.12.19 we recieved an email stating this company had changed and that we may have to pay again at the airport. We called them to confirm this and were very good, explaining we just needed to provide the relevant docs and a refund would be issued. The car hire with europcar was excellent. On return to the uk 3 days after returning the car another different amount was taken. We knew what to do and sent the relevant paperwork off, we called to confirm this. After a week we called again, same guy on other end who told us he was in croatia but a refund would be issued. We have called so many times that now no one answers. We are £152.97 out of pocket due to this scamming company.

Fraudulent company. Please avoid the company. Customers who ever rated good seems they do not have opted other services hence they have rated as such. But take my word you will be screwed up. Especially post rental support is zero. You need to wait months...no no ...in fact years t get your refund.

"Warte schon fast 5 Monate auf eine Rückerstattung!"

Wir hatten für unseren Mietwagen bewußt eine Vollkaskoversicherung ohne Selbstbeteiligung abgeschlossen. Nach einer Reifenpanne mussten wir mit 128,68 € in Vorleistung gehen und sollten den Betrag von Vehicle Rent zurückerhalten. Seitdem hat es diverse Telefonate und Mails mit Vehicle Rent und Check 24 gegeben (ca. 15). Es wurde am 30.12. per Mail bestätigt, dass uns das Geld zusteht und die Daten am 18.11. an die Buchhaltung weitergeleitet wurden. Eine Überweisung könne bis zu 30 Tage dauern. Nichts ist passiert. Nach Einschalten von Check 24 wurde mitgeteilt, dass innerhalb von 2 Wochen eine Rückmeldung erfolgen solle. Wieder nichts. Bei Rückfragen bei Vehicle Rent heißt es, die Buchhaltung sei ab 16:00 Uhr nicht mehr besetzt, könne telefonisch nicht erreicht werden, die Anfrage werde weiter geleitet etc. Auch nach einer Fristsetzung und Ankündigung rechtlicher Schritte ist nichts passiert. Sind zwar "nur 128 €", aber trotzdem ärgerlich, angesichts des bislang erfolglosen Aufwands, dem Geld hinterher zu rennen. Wir können von einer Buchung nur abraten!

"VEHICLE RENT - ainda aguardo pela devolução do dinheiro!!"

Em junho de 2019 também eu procedi a uma reserva Booking number XP22782324 (seguro contra todos os riscos, paguei mais por isso) e levantamento de um veículo, durante as férias na Grécia, pela VEHICLE RENT.

No momento da devolução foi constatado pela Rental Car Surprice que o veículo tinha a fechadura do condutor danificada (possível tentativa de furto de interior) pelo que me foi cobrado pelos mesmos, através do cartão de crédito, o valor de 450,00€.

Após contacto por email com a VEHICLE RENT, fui rapidamente informado de que a devolução do valor pago tinha sido autorizada e que poderia demorar em média até 90 dias.

Os 90 dias passaram e desde então tenho enviado vários email´s e NADA.

Neste momento 14-02-2020 ainda não fui ressarcido dos 450,00€, e não me respondem aos email´s.



Um dos primeiros email´s que recebi:

"Dear Mr. Silva,

thank you for your email.

I confirm your claim has been successfully processed and your bank account details forwarded to our accounting on Thu, 27th Jun 2019. You are entitled for a refund of 450,00 EUR.

Please note it may take up to 90 days for the refund to be processed, however I will get back to you as soon as I receive a confirmation.

I thank you again for your cooperation and patience, and wish you a lovely day."


Hoje dia 01-05-2020, quase um ano depois da reserva ainda não fui ressarcido dos 450,00€ que paguei ao locador, não me resta outra hipótese se não apresentar queixa no CENTRO EUROPEU DO CONSUMIDOR.

"Trotz Vollkasko keine Erstattung! Unseriöse Verschleierung von Subunternehmen..."

Ich habe im Juli 2019 einen Mietwagen über Check24 inkl. Vollkasko Versicherung gebucht. Nach der Rückgabe des Fahrzeugs behielt der Mietwagenbetreiber (Orlando Rent a Car) 375€ von der vorab geleisteten Kaution für einen Schaden ein, der bereits vor der Anmietung vorhanden war. Als ich den Fall draufhin Check24 mitteilte, um von der zusätzlich bezahlten Vollkaskoverischerung Gebrauch zu machen, wurde mir erklärt, dass der Anbieter Vehicle Rent für Buchung und Versicherung zuständig wäre und Check24 wäre daher nicht in der Verantwortung.

Seit über 7 Monaten versuche ich daher nun verzweifelt mein Geld wieder zu bekommen. Jedoch schieben sich die drei beteiligten Firmen immer wieder gegenseitig die Schuld in die Schuhe.

Der Kundensupport von Vehicle Rent hat mir sogar geraten einen Anwalt einzuschalten, da die Firma scheinbar Geldprobleme hätte. Ich kann also nur jedem Betroffenen dasselbe raten und werde nun schleunigst einen Anwalt einschalten!

"Pity there is no 0 rating for this fraud company ..... AVOID"

In June I rented a car with full excess cover through Vehicle rental aka Car Target Group. Unfortunately, I had a small accident and the rental company kept my deposit of Eur 750 and told me that I should be able to claim it back in UK.

I have submitted all the paperwork as requested to Vehicle Rental and subsequently I received authorisation for claim payment from Post Rental support (July 2019). The message was same as most claimants from this company have received - it will take 90 days for the claim to be processed and money refunded.

I have waited 120 days and after not having any further communication from the claims team I have emailed them asking about progress but again with no reply whatsoever. Only at that point I have decided to read reviews on this company (who I have used several times in past with no problem) and realised that there are lots of people who have the same issues with the company as me - everything is fine until you have a claim - and although you have paid to indemnify the excess the company is not refunding money to anybody.

I contacted customer support of Vehicle-rent who promised to take it up with the accounts team but again with no success. During last 5 months I sent them several emails and called them as well but again no answer whatsoever.

As company is not having presence in U.K. I have raised this issue with UK European Consumer Centre (UK ECC) who are chasing it up and am now planning to engage a solicitor in Slovenia to start a legal action.

"Super Excess Refund Insurance is a SCAM. Don't rent with this company"

We booked a car from OK REnt a Car in Burgos in September 2019 and purchased the Super Excess Refund. Unfortunately we had a minor accident for which the rental company charged 1000 euros. Vewhicle Rent quibbled for several e-miails over the documentation supplied but eventually said that my claim had been forwarded to their insurance depatment. Since then nothing, despite several e-mails asking for information on the claim.
From the other reviews seen it looks like NOBODY who has made a claim under the Super Excess Refund has been paid. It is oviously an insurance scam.

"Post rental support is absolute horror"

Post rental support is absolute horror. My refund approval was confirmed in July, 2019. It's 2020 February and I am still waiting for money to be refunded.
The most frustrating thing is that they are not responding to my emails requesting update. CS is trying their best to send notifications to post rental team, but still nothing...
It is so disrespectful to their customers and so frustrating! I feel hopeless as I don't know where to ask for help...

"disaster"

We rented a car with Vehicle Rent in June in 2019 in Athens. While returning the car we had to pay an important sum of money because it had a small scratch. We thought we had protection against damages - because we had bought it online while booking the car with Vehicle Rent. Turns out we were wrong.

After 7 months and lots of correspondence back and forward, being told many times that we would be refunded, we are still waiting. For some other things this company is really fast though. They were very quick to ask this site to remove our previous review because we sent them the wrong reservation number.

We are trying hard to remain hopeful but Vehicle Rent is either simply a scam or a very badly managed company.
