"Terrible after sales"
Terrible after sales. I have a problem with a head unit I purchased, used the contact form on their website twice and almost a week later still no reply. Contacted them through chat, they replied initially asking what was wrong but then after describing the issue to them Iv been completely ignored. Seems once they’ve got your money they’re not interested.
(Edit to your reply: My unit is pioneer but sorry to see someone else with an Alpine unit purchased from you are also having a poor experience. You have offered no advice or a solution to my problem at all, I have had to go directly to Pioneer. In fact the tickets are still open and to this day you have not replied to either of them, so please don’t apologise

"Avoid this buisness like the plague!!"
Avoid this buisness like the plague!!! When ordering I looked at the reviews and thought surley these are just fake. But I was 100% wrong. I ordered a Sony radio ( Open Box ) there was no description of any damages to device or that the front screen doesn't attach to the radio!!! So ive had to put a screw in it on the side to keep it locked in!!!! After contacting customer service. The shocking reply I got was not even an apology and they offered to refund me was 5%!!!
And aposolute joke of a company and they truly have messed with the wrong person. I will be taking this further and exposing this company all over social media. Until they give me a an acceptable refund!!!!!!

"Paid extra for Saturday delivery that never turned up"
Order placed early Friday morning with upgraded postage of £14.99 for nextday/Saturday delivery. As long as this was placed before 4pm then Saturday delivery was available according to their website. Had a notification that the order had been dispatched but no tracking information. Saturday comes so I email to ask for tracking but recieved no answer. Waited in all day but no delivery or email. I emailed again on Sunday to ask what was going on and to why I had paid extra for a delivery that never happened. Still no reply. Very poor communications. Customer service is non existent. I have requested a full refund and to cancel the order as I needed the item for installation over the weekend . Shame really as I was looking to purchase additional speakers to match but won't be wasting anymore time or money with this company.

Ordered speakers off these guys after my recent purchase of buying a head unit from them. Ordered on 28th Dec est between 4-6jan. 16th Jan now and still no email back or nor speakers.

"Order randomly cancelled after 2+ weeks"
I purchased a Focal branded subwoofer from Car Audio Centre on 28/12/2024. The website noted that this item was a special/back-order item, and that it would not be dispatched until later than usual, which was fine as I did not need the sub straight away.
To start, the estimated delivery date in my order confirmation was not updated to reflect the above, and Car Audio Centre did not ever provide me with an updated window as to when this would be dispatched/delivered.
Odd, but I assumed that they would be in touch soon to update, but no. I heard absolutely nothing from Car Audio Centre as they did not get in touch, so I decided to email them on January 5th (over a week after placing the order), asking for an estimated delivery/dispatch date. I received a response back on the same day, and they informed me that they did not know the status of my item, as it was being dealt with by their supplier. As such, they let me know that they chased my query up with the supplier. I assumed that this meant my order was starting to go somewhere, but I was wrong.
I heard absolutely nothing back from Car Audio Centre until today (13th January), when I received an email from PayPal stating that my order had been fully refunded. Shortly after, I received an automated email from Car Audio Centre stating that my order had been cancelled because they did not have enough stock to fulfil my order.
They did not communicate a single thing to me over this entire process. I had to ask them where my order was after waiting over a week, and then they did not get back in touch to update me (which was 8 days after we had last spoken).
The customer service was appalling overall. To hear nothing for a week after placing the order (resulting in me having to reach out myself), to then having to wait a further 8 days without any communication before having my order cancelled out of nowhere is just shocking.
I understand unfortunate things can happen with suppliers, but when this occurs I should be emailed personally to be informed on the status of my order, as opposed to receiving an automated email with no apology etc.
I will be avoiding this site in the future, and will also be advising all friends who work on their cars and in the trade to stay away.

We ordered a kenwood touchscreen stereo on 31st December, estimated delivery between 4th-8th January
No emails, no updates, the 8th came round and still no stereo! I rang the company to chase it up who said they was waiting for a delivery and will be with me next day! Same excuse for the next 3 days so I cancelled my order. I wouldn’t mind a delay as long as I’m kept informed! Communication is poor, won’t use again!

Bought a head unit from these guys. Presales help was pretty good with extra cables I needed. When the unit didn't work, post sales support was non-existent!!
I put a support request in Friday lunchtime. It is now Monday 6pm, and not even an acknowledgement.
I have fixed the issue myself with help from a campervan forum.

"Expensive handling charges"
Really quick delivery by DPD. Unfortunately the speaker I ordered was too large to fit in the boot so I had to return the item. I arranged the transport myself and I was still deducted £33 handling charge. The wrapping on the speaker wasn't removed and all packaging was in perfect condition. Very expensive returns process and I don't believe distance selling is taken into account when ordering via Amazon
