"BEWARE!!!! I am out $700!"
Unfortunately, at this point, I would leave a negative star review if that was an option. November, I reserved two vans for LV. Next day I received an email confirmation for LA. After no return emails, I called and spoke to "customer service". They said they can change the reservation after checking with the LV office. I asked if I would get an email confirming that the reservation was successfully changed. She said their system can't provide that confirmation, but she could "email me a screen shot of the confirmation when it is approved." NADA! Long story short, after 6 weeks of multiple calls on a weekly basis only one reservation has been refunded. Noone can seem to tell me why I am not being refunded for the second van. "I see it has been flagged for an escalated response." "I should hear something within 48 hours." NADA. Noone can forward me to accounting so I asked who to contact. I was given the name and number for a Marcus. I have left two VM and NADA and NADA! The lack of professionalism and customer service is astonishing! I am guessing after this review; it will seal the deal that they will rob me of close to $700!

If I could give 0, I would. We prepaid for a 15 passenger van to help transport 13 people for a trip to Grand Canyon that we has been planning for almost a year. We were all meeting at the rental spot since we flew in from all over the country only to find out they the van we prepaid was not available. We were basically being told oh well as 13 of us stood there stranded. We had an airbnb in Utah so not uber-able (they orig offered Uber). After going back and forth, them threatening to call the police if we didn’t leave, then found a van. The so called manager left the employee there after threatening us, past their 4pm closing time, never to be seen again and said she didn’t get paid enough for this. We just needed transportation. The van they found was super raggedy with holes in the seat, wires hanging from the console, holes in the armrest, door not aligned so it required an outside person to slam to close it, stains on the seats, and finally sounding like it was gonna cut off at every light. We were desperate so we had to take it. It was getting late and a holiday weekend. NEVER AGAIN!!

"Run away form them"
I'm from europe, rented a car from AVR. despite I took insurance they also took the $200 deposit. When the car was returned they could return me the deposit, claiming the card was blocked. I've contacted my bank,confirmed the card is ok, used it in another store - but they still couldn't process the refund and said they'll mail me a check - which I cannot use in europe. So now I have to file a charge back. I suspect they do it on purpose. "Support" is very ignorant.

"Never rent anything from AVR Van…"
FYI never ever rent a van from AVR Van Rental. We rented a van to take grandkids to the beach and cleaned it out better than it was when I got it and when I returned it except for a little bit sand on the floor of a van that was 4 years old that had 144,000 miles with worn out seats and worn out carpet and I am being charged a $400 cleaning fee. Also, when I picked up the van the gas was 30 miles until empty and I left it with 137 miles until empty! I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company.
I learned my lesson never rent a van from a less reputable company such as AVR! Rent from Capps Van Rental.

"Very bad customer service"
Very bad customer service , hidden charges and no refund policy , I have lost USD 1350 for renting a VAN from LAX airport , once you arrive to their office they ask for additional insurance which is almost double the price of your paid rental , they don’t refund . Stay away of them

I only have experience with the Las Vegas AVR.
When booking online they don't mention their hours are 10am to 4pm every day! Was told there was a charge for after-hours. No idea how much, just very glad i paid for cancellable (48hr before pickup)You cannot phone them (You can but always an answering machine that has a full mailbox). Phoning reservations after booking online is hopeless, Such poor phone quality that you are guessing what they say, and such attitude from them. The chat person seemed nice but they only answer questions between 15 and 1/2 hour after you ask them. I don't have 3 hours to waste dealing with them.

"FAR FROM THE TRUTH"
First and foremeost, I thank God that we did reach our destination and returned safely as well. However, I reserved a 15 passenger van and was told that it would be a new van. Upon arrival to the pickup location, we were greeted by the most rude individuals. It was approximately 3 PM and they kept telling us they were closing soon. The van they chose was a 10 passenger, NOT NEW and looked like it had been through a war zone. And the inside of the van was filfthy, the seats wer worn and torn covered with stains, the headrest was broken ans so much more! I could not believe that this was what I received for the $758. Regretfully,I was told that it was the only van available and because I had a church event planned, I had to accept. On their website they state "all our vehicles expertly maintained and hen you rent a van from Airport Van Rental, rest assured that you’re getting top-quality vehicles and the most dedicated services at the lowest possible prices." At the Atlanta location, this is far from the truth.
