Not enough to discourage you? Check out their BBB rating. I wish I had this information before I dealt with them. Maybe this will keep someone else from making the mistake of dealing with this company.

The Worst!!!!
This was the worst experience that I’ve ever had renting a vehicle. I reserved a 15 passenger van in Las Vegas for 5 days. When I arrived at the rental office, the lady there was less than thrilled to see me. She didn’t even acknowledge me as I waited. Whatever happened to good customer service? She tried to push expensive, and extra insurance on me. It got to the point that I had to call my agent on her day off to prove to her that I was covered. I guess my word wasn’t good enough. Although I rented a 15 passenger, I ended up with a 12 passenger van. I settled for that, but I wish that it was clean. The seats were so nasty , that we had to put plastic bags down to sit down. The seats were also torn and raggedy. It was very dirty. I also thought that most rentals start you off with a full tank of gas. Not in this case. It was below half. I went back in to complain and ask for a different vehicle. She stated that that was all that they had, and wasn’t apologetic at all. If it wasn’t peak season, and my family of 11 wasn’t depending on that for transportation, I would have left that work van right there. When I spend my hard earned money for something, I expect to be treated with respect. She didn’t even pretend to care. I will never ever rent from AVR Las Vegas again

"Horrible service from start to finish"
Horrible service from start to finish. The front desk person was very disrespectful and made racist comments. The van was old and smelly. The tank was almost empty. The poor van almost doesn’t make it back because the engine was dying. The windshields didn’t work and made a squeaky sound. We came back to return the van and the same guy who rented it to us said he couldn’t gave us back the deposit.
Lesson learned, never pay too cheap!! Is better the extra cost for good customer service and safety.

"AVR DALLAS Cheapest Option"
We had a good experience with AVR Dallas. We were honestly concerned when we booked and read the reviews. To be honest, we took a last minute flight and they were our only and cheapest option. We had to wait fir them to clean the van once we got there which wasn’t ideal, but the were friendly and accommodating. The van wasn’t beautiful but it got us where we needed to go so we were happy.

"I will never rent from AVR again"
Where do I start?? I rented an AVR van in Houston to take a trip with my family. When I arrived at the location on the scheduled pick up time the van was dirty inside and out. The employee told me he needed to clean it inside. After a 45 minute wait outside, he asked me if I wanted him to wash the outside. I told him I would take care of it at home before my trip. We confirmed weekly rates, free mileage etc. When I returned the van, I delivered it clean inside and out without damage. The employee told me that there would be approximately $1,000 additional mileage charge because I lived in Houston and the free mileage was only if you lived out of town. This was never told to me or agreed to prior to me renting. He told me I could dispute it with customer service and that he would leave the ticket open. I finally got customer service on the phone, had to dispute the whole thing with them and my credit card company. They had also falsely represented that I turned the van in 4 days after I did. We finally settled on payment 2 months later after many emails and phone calls. Today, nearly 6 months later I received a call that they are making a broken windshield claim against me. That raggedy van has probably been rented a hundred times since I returned it and now this.
I will never rent from that run down old place again. I should have known something was bad when the couple checking out in front of me was arguing about their rental problems.

"Poor Customer Service"
On 11/9/2020 Rented a van from AVR Las Vegas. We needed a 12 Passenger van.
First impression of the office/staff was not the best. Very dirty and run down Staff made us feel like we were bothering them. I videoed the entire vehicle as someone was writing down what I saw. Windshield cracked, dents all over. Seats dirty etc... Van did not have full tank of gas, it was dirty on the inside. When I turned the paper work in I commented on the windshield and the van did not have a full tank. She was more concerned I initialed all the spots on the form to accept responsibility. I had a feeling that something was going to bite me when I left. 11/13/2020 The day I turned the van in. I received an e mail that they sent a claim in for a cracked windshield. Which they say was not on the form. So I respond to the email, that they are mistaken and sent them a picture of the windshield with crack circles, and my number for someone to call me
I called the following Monday because I had not received a response to my email. The person at the LV office said that person would call me Tuesday due to her day off. Nothing Tuesday. Wednesday I send another e mail. This is the email I received

The inspection Agent only had to report the damage. If or when the claims department contacts you, you can then dispute the claim with them.

Not a name not anything. I have to wait?
So maybe at some time in the future The claims department may or may not call me.
I will not go into detail of the drivability of the van.
The vehicle served its purpose.
Customer service goes MILES. It leaves a lasting impression.
Everyone makes mistakes maybe the windshield crack was missed by the person inspecting the van prior to me. It is possible.
If someone would have called me or even given a little more info in an e mail. I would have never written this review.
I will never use AVR again. Mainly because of the Customer Service.

"Rent anywhere else BUT here!"
Rented a van a month ahead of time for a family trip to Denver. Our flight was late but we noticed shuttles for all other companies running every 5 to 10 mins. Never saw one from AVR. After waiting almost an hour I called the number on my reservation to see what was going on. They took another half hour to answer. The person who answered claimed he was not in Denver anymore and that they had tried to call me half an hour before my plane lamded. I was obviously on a plane when they tried to call. He basically said no one was coming because their offices had already closed. It was about 3:55pm when he said that to me. Luckily I had not made any prepayment. I quickly booked another van with Budget rentals on my phone, got my family on the next Budget shuttle bus and Budget took excellent care of us. It was a brand new van with plenty of space. From what I've read on other reviews I'm glad it worked out that way since I've read horror stories about the condition of AVR vans. Frankly I'm surprised they are still in business. If I see anyone waiting for AVR at the airport next time. I will be sure to warn them of the terrible service they are about to receive. Seriously if this is the cheapest option you found, take the next cheapest. ANYONE would be better than this company!
