I had the pleasure of working with Scott Moses a Data Recovery Specialist with SECUREDATA, Inc. in an effort to recover data from a failed hard drive. Scott was very knowledgeable of the process and able to answer all of my questions through every step of the process. He kept me advised and was a pleasure to work with. While I hope I don''t have to use their services again, I won''t hesitate to go back to Scott and SECUREDATA.

"Perfect Service, Brutal Price"

He was great. Fast communication, clear, concise; a little wheelin' and dealin' as he's meant to do. Kept me updated, listened to my concerns, yadda yadda.

Customer service was phenomenal as expected. I had a HDD that got overvolted. Cracking open non solid-state shieeet is slightly out of my range of knowledge so I passed the drive on to the homies at Secure Data Recovery Services.

They cracked that thing open, swapped whatever amount of component(s) or the whole PCB, then ripped the data. Not sure what their process was.

Then they sent me a drive back with all my data. Then charged me 2300$+ CAD. This was the quoted amount, so it wasn't a surprise.

Customer service was excellent, services rendered were true to their guarantee. Price was ridiculous. How a layman could justify this cost is beyond me.

Overall, they are reliable, trustworthy, and I would recommend these guys wholeheartedly if you have a complex hardware issue that requires a cleanroom or high level of technical knowledge.

If you simply have a hard drive that got formatted (not zero-written) and need the data pulled back and sent to you, or your problem is software related, just bring it to your local guy and pay literally thousands $$$ less.

Rob Anderson was a huge help! I had several local companies look at my hard drive, as well as the Geek Squad at Best Buy. They all said it was hopeless. Secure Data Recovery was able to recover almost all of my files. I lost a few pictures, but my other data was intact. Rob kept in touch during the entire process and kept me updated on the progress. Although there was quite a bit of data damage, I am pleased with the results and enjoying the family photos I feared were lost forever. Turns out some of the damaged photo files can just be cropped, no problem!
