"Aftab seemed to be the only advisor…"
Aftab seemed to be the only advisor showing any empathy with my dissatisfaction.
I am a loyal Onecom customer who wanted to renew my mobile contract.
No one from Onecom reminded me in September I needed to renew my discount and consequently my monthly payment increased from £20 per month to £62:20 per month.
As a result I paid £62:20 for 3 months and then it increased to £72:20 in January 2025 !
I discovered that Onecom had also added a further £10 per month for cyber protection I had not asked for !
When I contacted Onecom they agreed to discount the charge for cyber protection.
Consequently I renewed my contract for 3years at £17:40 per month.
Sadly I noticed on the 27th January an invoice for £135. I couldn’t believe it !
I called Onecom to discover they claimed I had called them to renew my contract on a premium 08 number and that’s why I had a bill for £135.
I telephoned on a number for Onecom I had googled and got through to them.
They accepted I had spoken to their advisor Andrew on this number to renew my contract which took 1 hour 35 minutes.
I had to call Onecom several times to complain about this charge being removed.
The first advisor promised to call me back and didn’t.
Aftad in fairness did call me back and said as a measure of goodwill the company would refund £65.
Not at all impressed with Onecom if this is how they treat loyal customers who renew mobile contracts with them !!!
Aftad the only customer advisor who displayed any compassion or understanding at all.
What does this say about any sense of goodwill from Onecom !!!
Absolutely outrageous !!!!!!!!!!

"Poor performance on OneCom and terrible customer service"
I am using OneCom for Internet. The performance has been very poor with a download speed of 2 Megs out of a 20mb/s for £89 per month. After trying to contact support 3 times and them hanging up before I got through, I finally switched. They reduced the bandwidth down to 0.25Mb/s and upload of 0.15Mb/s even though we were still paying full cost.
When I complained they told me "As services are getting disconnected hence it might affected the speed".

"AVOID onecom especially Gareth Duggan…"
I was approached by Gareth Duggan through this company about a new business phone contact over around an 8 month period and genuinely thought he was trust worthy... turns out he's just another salesman who couldn't care less about other people's finances (especially over Christmas) and only the numbers that he makes for this business.
I was told my termination fee (from Plan.com) would be covered by Gareth (which it only came to around half of the final invoice fee) and then 45 days down the line I was then contacted by a debt collection company stating that I owed another £415 to another company (prestige telecom)
I have emailed Gareth twice now with no response at all, now he's got my money for 36 months he's not interested and he also sold one of my phones through a 3rd party and I got less that half of what he told me I would get.
With all this happening over Christmas, had I have know what the true cost of this would have been, i would not have renewed my contract and waited for it to run out... I feel that Gareth has been absolutely disloyal about the true picture of this and has not made any efforts at all to try and help in any way.
Moral of the story is to avoid this company especially if Gareth Duggan is on the end of the line. Totally ruined our finances this Christmas for our family.

"Diabolical service! "
If I could rate no stars I would. This company have been nothing but painful to deal with!
They signed me up to a 3year contract when (I was caught off guard) I had mentioned, I was traveling home and whether they could call back later, did they, hell no! They hard sold me two lines for a reasonable price, (or so I thought) but wait, it gets better not only does this particular provider(vodafone) does not unfortunately for me, provide much signal where I'm based but it turns out for the work location, it too hasn't got great connection!! When on the phone with onecom, they assure me they do. Little did I know they were royally screwing me. I later checked the signal online and walked into a shop and they showed me, they in fact DONOT cover my area! (by this point I was stuck in my contract for three years with onecom, they never did try to resolve this issue! Thanks Onecom!
Anyway, when it came to payment they assured me it would be 42.00. When the DD started to come out if the account, they took double the amount which I though was odd! When I rung them they said, "oh don't worry, we will transfer the difference each month. What a rather odd system!!!
After a year of back and forth being put on hold, passed around to different call handlers, I had the final straw and requested for someone to reinburse me for being charged an extra 50.00 this month with no warning! The person I was supposed to speak with was busy at this particular time I had called, I was reassured that this person would call back within 15 mins. When I sat by my phone waiting for 30mins and still no call back. I called them to find out that the centre had closed. Surprise surprise!!
I decided to call back the following day, I was informed that they had tried to call me back but they couldn't get through. I said, oh so you are admitting that after a year my line has signal issues!!!! Either that or you are lying about calling me back, which one is it?
I got no further with my enquiries!
This company is a huge scam and I advise you all to keep clear!!!!!

"Heartless and Archaic business practices"
Archaic business practices. Completely inflexible and using bait and switch tactics.
The initial pitch is to pay off the contract remaining with your current provider, sell you on some extra services and then get you in a 36 month contract. What they have so carefully crafted into their sales pitch is a quiet word about the 17 month discount they apply and that is waived away by saying they will get a renewed contract with the same discounts arranged at the 17 month mark... it never happens. A tariff review amounts to about £5 off any line you have, while they are charging astronomical amounts for terrible service.
I can see how they could be a really useful company to larger businesses but they should not target small businesses with limited use for their services. They have airtight contracts, no exit clauses and no flexibility for changes to business circumstances. Heartless is probably a little too nice for them. They know exactly what they are doing in the initial sales pitches, know the profit they will get with each sucker they get in for the 36 month contract, and the manner they speak on the phone about it is the most frustrating part. They do exactly enough to ensure the CISAS rulings go in their favour. Good solicitors, terrible ethics.

"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not get sucked…"
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not get sucked into a contract by this company, 3 year contract with big inflated amount with only 2 years credit back So vodafone charge £100 then these credit you £80, So when vodafone hikes the price up each year you contract in effect doubles as they are adding 10% to £100 and the credit stays the same, I am now in my 3rd year paying £150 per month for a contract i can get for £8 per month And now they decide to add another product to my bill at £10 a month without my consent and are trying not to refund me absolute scammers.

"Leaving one.com is a nightmare - expensive"
Leaving one.com is a nightmare. I have never done something so difficult. My domain is still not transferred; they have reregistered it and charged me. They are expensive after you sign up (a year later). Expect to get support in two days.
