"Excellent!"

Ordered a display case for Sonic the Hedgehog limited edition Lego set. It arrived after about 6 weeks; I’m pleasantly surprised and impressed. Having worked in manufacturing and fabrication, I am delighted with the quality of materials (proper branded Perspex which is suitably thick), fit, attention to detail and finish. The magnetic base is a great idea too. It looks superb! It took time to come but often these things need to be waited for, particularly with the current supply chain issues.

"Absolutely useless"

Absolutely useless. Paid for an order more than 2 and half months ago (order number #112418). Happily took the money.

Then nothing but automaton emails from useless “customer service” agents saying … “it is due to be dispatched in…”. Each time more of the same nonsense from them.

Cancelled order - and not so much as an apology from these charlatans.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Wicked Brick are a fast-growing UK company which are always reviewing the way they manufacture their products, yes, it's true that delivery turnaround isn't quick, but they always fully communicate the waiting times for delivery clearly on their website and they have always taken the time to reply to any emails I have sent them. If you want a top-quality product that will last and protect your models for years to come, then to me it's well worth that extra wait. The Perspex Wicked Brick uses is very high quality and really does enhance your models brilliantly. I've bought many display cases from them, and I've been really pleased with every purchase. Stick with them over their delivery as they are upping there manufacturing processes all the time to provide quicker service, and don't forget that every product is made to order which I think sometimes people placing orders often forget this. It's full testament to their growing success that the demand for their products is extremely high. And once you've built a display case, you can easily see why.

"Quality products with fantastic customer service"

I have completed multiple orders with wicked brick and they have continued to impress me with firstly the quality of their products, as the make my displays look amazing and definitely a welcome upgrade, but because they have great customer service where I requested a bespoke piece for my collection as a request due to having multiple orders with them and they efficiently responded and asked more about the request in order to get it right and they facilitated this for me which was very much appreciated and for me is an example of doing the best to help their customer. So thank you to both Patarina and Karen for your help!

"Wicked Bricks are incredible"

I have been ordering Lego display sets from Wicked Bricks for some time now, the quality is always amazing. You can tell a lot of thought and workmamship goes into every set! Its true the delivery time can take some time but they are ALWAYS worth the wait. There isnt one set i have been unhappy with. I recently had a problem where i managed to scratch the front panel of a set when i was moving the base.. i was distraught as i had only just received it, i contacted Wicked Bricks and i got a reply from Karen who has sent me a replacement panel thats arrived within a couple of days. I would highly recommend this company

"Ikea Kallax Display Window - Some of their products are just bad."

Okay so this review is not about the company, or the 8 week dispatch time. It's not about their lego display cases - which are pretty great. This review is about how badly designed some of their other products are, namely the Ikea Kallax window display. Posting here because I am afraid they will remove my review on their website.

I first bought two of these about a year ago. However, when I just purchased another one, imagine my surprise when it was completely redesigned! And completely worse.

Heres the thing, this new method of attaching the acrylic panel is a massive step backwards in every possible way. You now get 2 large strips of clear acrylic, and you must attach two included Command strips to the back of them. Then you stick them to the inside of your kallax cube. Now first of all, the command strips are white, if you have any Kallax unit other than white, then you've ruined the look of it straight away.

But that's not the worst of it, onto these acrylic strips that are now mounted to the inside of your unit, you must now push these small little acrylic flaps into a cut-out. These flaps hold a single small magnet, one on the left, and one for the right. Now these acrylic flaps are not glued or attached in any way, they just push in. If they were built properly it would be fine, but they don't sit correctly 9 times out of 10. The right side of mine sits and holds tight, and the left is just loose.

Anyway when the flaps are pushed in place (as best as possible) you then hold up the panel to them and the magnets join together. We'll as soon as you do, the force of the magnets instantly pulls out the aforementiomed acrylic flaps from their holding position.

The whole product relies on these little acrylic flaps balancing and holding the entire front panel in place. I have lost count of the amount of times the entire product has fallen off because of this glaring fault.

Oh but that's not all! You see because there is only one magnet for each side, guess where they put them? Right smack bang in the middle of the panel! So the top and bottom of the panel is constantly swinging outwards, teetering on the verge of falling and crashing.

The first iteration got some backlash you see, which is why I'm guessing WickedBrick redesigned them, but it has not worked at ALL. The first products had two small button magnets on the left side, and two on the right side (double the amount), and were in the corners.

The only complaints about the old models was that the magnets would lose their stickiness, but it was easily fixed by a tiny blob of glue. You didn't need to do all of this. If I had known I was getting a "improved" version, I certainly would not have purchased it. I would post pictures and videos, but it would mean taking it back down again and having the struggle of reattaching it.

Edit: I just remembered more issues. One of the magnets in the actual acrylic front panel was pulled from its socket when attaching and now will not sit as secure as before.

And secondly, when you first attach the acrylic strips with the command strips, if you put them where they are supposed to be, as per the guidelines, then the front panel will be jutting too far out from the Kallax unit. You need to mount them a few mm's further inside the cube, that way the front panel will be flush.

Pathetically designed.

"Product: Good, Company: Interesting"

This is honestly more of a 2.5 star than a 2 star but I'm rounding down to get the point across.

Lead time was the main cause of frustration, I think I must have glossed over something because it wasn't apparent it was a 6-8 week lead time until money had already changed hands. If I was more aware of that I probably wouldn't have ordered.

I did accept the timescale though and continued with the order. Despite taking just shy of 10 weeks for 1 case but what poured salt into the wound was the near constant emails popping up showcasing their ever expanding product line. Frustrating to play the wee little passion project company doin' its best while also banging the drum for all the new shiny things to buy. Maybe take a few people out of marketing for a week or two and get them packing orders or babysitting laser cutters. When you can hit the 6 week and under deadline I might be more interested in what new toys you have boxes for.

I understand it is a bit catch 22, you need to get as many orders in to help sustain yourselves through backlogs and if you couldn't generate as many new orders you wouldn't perhaps be able to produce your current product line efficiently. Still, it rubbed me the wrong way.

Their order tracking service, was good I will say as I did enquire as to where my order was once it was passed the deadline and I got a response the next day.

Fit and finish of the case is very respectable. Edge quality is excellent and all the plastic was unmarked and spotless. The supplied screws felt a little short but worked well and it was incredibly easy to assemble, even with beer in hand and instructions tossed aside. I feel like the tolerancing was off, but only slightly. This lead to a little bit of loosening, jiggling and tightening at the very end which may prove tiresome. However this is incredibly minor as it is a case and not something that shall be moved or fiddled with very often if ever.

Would I buy again? Not in the foreseeable. Cannot fault the case and it's made my partner very happy that their Batmobile is now on display but when the time from order to arrival is long enough for the price to rise by a fiver I'll take my chances and make my own.

"Not too bad!"

The quality of the product was pretty good, though the side and back panel at one corner towards the top were SLIGHTLY misaligned, so had to be forced together which caused a slight bend in the side of the case (not really noticeable, but worth mentioning because it demonstrates that the products can be a slight mm or so away from perfect, which can cause issues when fixing together).

And of course the lead time was very long, quoted 6-8 weeks but ended up being around 10.
Even though the product quality was SLIGHTLY worse than expected, I’m still very happy with the product and would order again, while bracing myself for a very long wait time.

"Advised 6-8 week wait"

Advised 6-8 week wait, now at wk10!!!
Customer service is shocking. Emailed in 2 weeks ago no reply, emailed again a week after and advised it’s in the pipe line for delivery. Rang customer service number. Advises email in. Useless putting sales over customer satisfaction. Work on better lead times for products more than sales. Then once that’s resolved you will get better reviews on here!!!

6-8 weeks shipping in confirmation email. Just ended week 9 and no sign yet again.

Seems like you need to be some kind of affiliate or influencer getting a freebie to get any sort of decent or speedy service.
