"Creating a subscription without permission"

The service is good but the fact they give you a payment option of a one off payment or a monthly payment but then create a subscription anyway is sly and very much like a scam.
The fact they this company think this is okay ruins all the work and efforts that
have been put into the company.

My request for a refund was declined and they I followed it up to say that I did not agree for them to save my bank details or to create a subscription and that their website is misleading . A monthly subscription for a cv is abit weird to me.
They then decided to give me a wonderful gesture of refunding me £8.48…they charged me £16.95…there for I had
To explain that the offer is declined and I wish to be refunded £14.00 as the agreement advertised was £2.95 for a one off payment . Not only are they false and misleading but also cheeky.

"Introduce a one-off purchase option!"

In theory this is supposed to be a good service for creating professional CV’s, however not every user wants to subscribe! Many other companies have a one-off purchase option for those who use their services less often. £16.95 is an awful lot for a single download, I’ve been trying to get help with this for weeks and keep getting very vague answers. Their last email response says I should create a new account and then they’ll activate some £4 offer etc! I don’t want to create a new account when I already have an account with my CV on it!

I have just discovered 10x payments on my Debit Card from "MyPerfectCV.CO". Each @ €24.95 per month from Nov’23 to July’24

I tried calling the telephone number they list (UK 0808 189 0676) and get a voice recording saying their office is closed and call back between 09:00 and 21:00, tried 09:45, 10:30, 11:00 on Friday 19th July'24.

I found an identical website called "MyPerfectResume" and they have webchat but they are saying there is no connection between the 2 companies... If you visit both I think you'll find there is something suspect going on here. Also on the MyPerfectCV website on the About Us page it clearly states in 2012 they launched in US with MyPerfectResume brand.

I've checked my email account and I received 1x email from this company when paying for the initial trial (Oct’23) and charge amount of €2.95. After this NOT ONE SINGLE email from them re trial ending, payment statements each month etc. I checked email settings and nothing at the time should have stopped any automated emails.

This is a very deceptive process and not in any way good business practice. Every customer should at least receive a notification that their trail is now moving into monthly subscription payments and option to opt-out. In addition, there should be an email statement issued each month for the amount about to be charged.
I am requesting a refund of the 10mths please of €249.50

They have charged me almost £17 for nothing not even give notice of doing so ......I didn’t know that I have to pay that much every year !? So tricky not recommende and I hope to cancel it !!! Scam !!!

Looks like same scenario as a few others…I was happy to pay for 1 CV which was pretty good to be fair .
Then without giving authority to save my bank details and no prior warning that I was entering into a monthly subscription a payment was taken from my account.
Can’t help feeling there is a scam here and it happens to everyone.
I don’t understand why companies can think the correct way to do business is not to be transparent and upfront rather than trying to shaft you .

I used this service back in April and I found the layout and design helpful unfortunately I have been charged £16.95 subscription 3 times after attempting to cancel!

I really hope someone at customer cervices at My Perfect CV can look into this for me as does leave a bitter taste from an otherwise decent service.

"At no point does it say you have to pay…"

At no point does it say you have to pay to download. Markets itself as a free CV maker, then when you have invested hours to make that perfect CV it tells you ya gotta pay to download. I am steaming mad. Also, the concessionary price auto renews at a large monthly fee. No thanks, I am not using you as you are less than transparent. Rant over
