"The worst company to rent from"

The worst company to rent from. The portfolio team at mainstay, specifically Jemma, are a disgrace. On the rare occasion that an email was replied to it lacked empathy or ever bought about a solution. If you are thinking of renting from mainstay and are told you have to deal with the portfolio team save yourself the stress and RUN THE OTHER WAY. Complete lack of professionalism or empathy. if I could give zero stars then I would.

"If I could give zero stars I would"

If I could give zero stars I would. I have found every aspect of dealing with Mainstay an inconvenience and a waste of money, keeping in mind I have been paying them since 2012. During this time the ‘Maintenance’ of the site is questionable. On the selling of my property I am shocked at the amount of covenants that are included on my freehold property. It has been an awful experience from start to finish and I am so happy to be rid of them.

"Appalling company"

WARNING - DO NOT BUY A HOME MANAGED BY MAINSTAY!

My flat is managed by Mainstay on behalf of the freeholder and now it has been found to have severe fire safety defects even though it was signed off as safe. Everyone who lives here is now facing bills of 50k or more to fix it which is obviously a very stressful issue.
However, mainstay are slow to respond, taking weeks at a time to send a response to any questions. Their knowledge and competence of the fire safety issues in each of their buildings is clearly non-existent. I waited weeks for a response only to receive templates which didn’t answer anything I had asked. Their handling of the situation has been appalling and they have stuck to the narrative that it is my responsibility as a leaseholder to pay to fix this.
If you buy a flat managed by Mainstay you’re signing up for years of stress and panic. Don’t do it.

"To the most helpful Dawn"

My review goes out for Dawn. Not only does she do a fab job on keeping the area clean she also goes out of her way to help with collecting parcels that have been posted into the wrong buildings, she also ensures people's parcels are collected by reminding them that they are left downstairs. Dawn personally offered to bring my partners parcel upto the apartment front door as she was very concerned it was not safe downstairs due to it not being securely packaged. Always smiling, very friendly and helpful, her hardwork and efforts never go unnoticed. Thank you Dawn for all you do here.
