"Don't reply to emails"

Don't reply to emails. Called them and spoke to an arrogant man who wasn't interested in my reason for calling put me on hold then cut me off. Rubbish customer experience.

"Mainstay Property Management Ltd", a warning to all please be very very cautious when buying, renting or investing in a property managed by this company, in the above development they have sub contracted there day to day roll to another Company "Regality Ltd" who do what they want when they want with no recourse to the Leaseholders.

In this case "Mainstay Property Management Ltd" are not the Freeholders and have little to no interest in the development, there high charges and poor service are well known locally and have led to reduced sale prices even for "Penthouse Apartments", checkout Rightmove CW12 1JG.and make it unprofitable for investors, this is disappointing as the location is nice.

I would like to personally thank Julie Griffiths at Mainstay for all of the hard work she and her colleagues do when looking after the Cork House development. We had some problems with contractors replacing windows a few years ago, Julie kept us informed of progress and successfully managed the project to completion. Always quick to respond to email queries and goes the extra mile to resolve potential issues. Thank you

"I live Copper Quarter in Swansea"

I live Copper Quarter in Swansea. This development is managed by Mainstay and I have to say that our property manager Julie Griffiths really is fantastic. We have had a few issues within our site unfortunately and Julie has gone above and beyond to help deal with it. I really can’t praise her enough. She is also very nice to deal with. I also want to mention our caretaker Andrew Woods as he is brilliant. The site is always clean and tidy and issues are resolved quickly.

"Bad bad bad"

Been living in my apartment for almost 5 years now and have had nothing but problems with mainstay group! The bins stores are a massive problem which I’m constantly reporting issues with and still after 5 years it’s still the same. They clean once every two weeks and that isn’t great just a Hoover and Wipe. Outside the grass gets cuts and that’s it! We pay a lot of money to them for them to do very little in return! All they do is get outside contractors in and waste money which they add on again to a final Bill which the owners have to pay! The turn over of mangers is high so you never can deal with the same manger long enough to solve anything . Very poor customer service. Very bad management. I wish I never bought my apartment , I don’t know how this company can win contracts to manage anything.They Waste money. Don’t reply and don’t care. I will be selling up ASAP

"Excellent company to work with!!"

I am a contractor who has worked with Mainstay for the past 18 years and whilst I appreciate most reviews are submitted by the actual customer, I feel that its important for the customer to get a insight from a contractors point of view of how (in our opinion) the company is run.

Although Mainstay has grown considerably in size over the past decade, they have remained true to their core values in maintaining and striving to deliver customer satisfaction. They are well structured within the business with various departments taking care of their own specific tasks such as compliance (Health and Safety) and property management that is backed up with a excellent board and regional directors who oversee their own Propety management teams. However, despite the structure and how the company is set up, they all manage to remain in unison and it feels very much like a team effort.

My own day to day communication is usually with the office based property managers assistants (called PSA’s) and one in particular that has stood out over the years is a gentlemen called Fraser. Fraser is one of many PSA’s who work and strive hard to ensure things run smoothly and bridges the gap between residents, contractors and staff. Fraser often answers emails out of hours and is always efficient as well as keeping us on our toes if things are not quite right!

Mainstay have been a excellent company to work with and we continue to strive to provide them with the best service possible which the end customer benefits from. In order to work for Mainstay we have to undergo strict Health and Safety audits as well as be SafeContractor approved and compliant.

I have no hesitation in recommending Mainstay to any person or client that wishes to appoint a well run company that is professional and large enough to manage a property/estate but actually cares about the smaller details that are often overlooked by larger corporate and profit driven entities.

Hope this review is useful and from my own experience as a window cleaning and maintenance contractor they have always treated me with respect and shown appreciation for what we do. Therefore, they deserve this 5 star review.

"Making people homeless"

Mainstay are solely a money making enterprise with zero interest in making fair representations for leaseholders. This includes making spurious payment claims, poor management processes and non-existent customer service.
If you need an organisation to take money from you, I highly recommend them. If you want a management agent that actually performs management then avoid them.
Due to ever increasing service charges with no increase in service I am essentially being made homeless. The Mainstay response “well you decided to live there.”
I can’t sell my properly due to their onerous charges, nor does renting out cover their costs. Genuinely getting to the stage where I will have to walk away from a home I’ve paid for, for over 10 years due to their increasing greed.

"Appalling customer service"

I am deeply disappointed with the response from Mainstay in dealing with a leak in the roof of my property in Plymouth. The Property Manager failed to keep me updated with progress, and when he did, he gave false and misleading information. Eventually I had no option but to make an official complaint against Mainstay. I received no formal response from the Property Manager as per Mainstay's own guidelines so I escalated the complaint to Stage 2. I received no formal response from the Area Director, again in contravention of Mainstay's guidelines in dealing with complaints, despite my sending a reminder email.

If a representative from Mainstay wishes to investigate further, the complaint reference is D2D / 676588.

This level of service is totally unacceptable. Our service charges are extremely high so I expect a high level of service. Since September 2020 I have no floor in my living room/dining/kitchen area, my furniture is piled in the guest bedroom making this room unavailable.

I understand we are in the midst of a pandemic and work may not be carried out as quickly as usual. I have taken this into consideration. However, to be constantly lied to and no action taken is unacceptable.
