"Knowledgeable staff"

The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, inspected the damage to my camera, which although minor was obvious (dropped). An estimate was soon received and accepted, as I thought that the fee was reasonable for the repair. My only criticism was with the format of the customer portal, where after the indication of a completed repair there was no indication of a return date. I ended up phoning to receive details of the return availability. This was for a personal drop off and collection in Manchester. There was quite a wait, not due to Fixation, due to Nikon shipping arrangements.

"Camera repair"

Kept informed throughout through their website.
Missed out on 5 stars because there was no facility to track its return. I knew when it was dispatched but with no tracking I didn't want it left on the doorstep so had to remain at home until it arrived.

"We can fix your lens. "

What I was told upon inspection of the faulty Tamron lens, "yes we can fix the autofocus problem for approx £145.00. What i wasn't told until after paying and received the lens back. " the lens was fixed and tested whilst in bits on a bench, the autofocus wasn't tested on a camera or once resembled". Unfortunately for me it's worse than before. I've only just needed to use this lens again, it's been a long time whilst thinking it's been fixed and ready to go. My initial test was a quick mount it on and listen for a focus beep. I wish I'd of given it an actual photo test straight away rather than wasting about a year. It worked correctly for a very long time before it suddenly stopped altogether, hence then I sent it in for repair, job number 385907, ps I have many other Tamron lenses of various ages working perfectly with the Sony La-Ea5 adaptor. Upon my repair query I was advised to clean the contacts and or turn the ibis off. I explained at the time it was such a long time ago and didn't check the lens properly which was a bad mistake.

"Very good sensor cleans on two cameras"

Very good sensor cleans on two cameras. Has a clean last week with another company in London W1 and it was smeary and three spotes that were there were still left. Fixaton sorted it. I did have to wait 2.5hrs though as staff were in a meeting - they usually do it in 45mins!

"The repair to my Nikkor 70-200mm was better than I expected."

The repair to my Nikkor 70-200mm was excellent. Came back acting and looking as new as it could have. My only criticism is initial communication can be quite hard to obtain quickly but once established was second to none. There was a delivery mistake (ended up at a neighbours despite me being at home and waiting) but that is beyond Fixation's control. Also no real control on how the package will or when it will be delivered. I would like to see delivery options along with a select-able date option in or before the payment section.

"Flawless repair of damaged camera body and lens."

I damaged my Fuji XT 30 and 10-24 mm lens via a cycling accident to what I thought was beyond repair for both.
The repair resulted in an as new condition for lens and body.
This was done at a very reasonable price and quick.
Flawless service, way beyond my expectations.

"You dont have to leave the house"

My reapir was collected from my door. An email was sent telling me it was received. I then had a quote which I accepted and work started on my repair. It was easy to track what was happening to my repair as I ahd an account page where detailed were given. There was a mix up when I enquired as to what was happening, as the 15 days were up, and was told they were waiting for bits from Canon which could take up to four weeks. The next day however, I received an email from them saying it was fixed and as soon as I had paid it would be returned. I paid and got it back the next day. All in all a good servie.

"Sensor clean was perfect."

Sensor clean was perfect.. the technician managed to remove some deposits that a local shop technician hadn't so very relieved. Communication could be improved.
