I have been reading lots of reviews on here that talk about complaining via email or phone. The best and most effective way to complain to YHG is by writing and posting tracked delivery. If you are not happy with the Stage 1 complaint process you can escalate to Stage 2 and then if you are still not happy then you can escalate even further to the Housing Ombudsman. This is the Stage of my complaint at the moment regarding my father who had a fire at his Sheltered Housing accommodation owned by YHG. They can not ignore a letter in writing and if you do take it to the Housing Ombudsman you have to have followed the correct complaints procedure AND so do YHG by using the complaint handling code. This is the only way you will move forward and hopefully have your complaints resolved. Don't bother emailing nothing will ever change. My complaint is currently being investigated by the Housing Ombudsman. The housing ombudsman is free and impartial. YHG investigating YHG doesn't work and isn't a fair process therefore nothing ever changes. Please write and take copies.

Please note the reply from Your Housing below to my previous feedback. Unfortunately, the response does not answer the point being made. If I were to use the website to, for instance, request help or make a complaint, the only people who have proof it was ever sent are... Your Housing. (you see the problem) I have fallen foul of this before.. I have subsequently contacted Your housing by phone and was told to use an email address (not allowed to put it in here)Unfortunately the email address returns the following message.
"Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:
(their email) Your message wasn't delivered. Despite repeated attempts to deliver your message, the recipient's email system refused to accept a connection from your email system.
Contact the recipient by some other means (by phone, for example) and ask them to tell their email admin that it appears that their email system is refusing connections from your email server. Give them the error details shown below. It's likely that the recipient's email admin is the only one who can fix this problem.
I tried again by phone to be told that Your Housing were not accepting calls that day! Terrific Customer service guys!!


After my last review on the lack of information on their actual opening hours I tried again today at 11.54am. I am told there will be a 45 minute wait. This is not reasonable.
I also note that customers are not given the option of email anymore. I wonder why this is? It would be a lot more convenient for many, and not everyone has a twitter or Facebook account.

I have an active ongoing complaint (for 6 months) yet nothing is being done! Absolutely sick of taking days off work for appointments and nobody shows up! I will be charging you for the days off work . You have a cheek to up my rent and for what ? No repairs have been done! and don't even get me started on fix360 quicker you pull the contract from them the better. You have caused nothing but stress and inconvenience

"What does one even say anymore?"

What does one even say anymore?
Been living in this property for 28 years, no issue from my family or property, spent thousands doing the home up over the years!
Yet this company is downright appalling, the negligence is unreal!
No repair work, fail to log the calls you make, don’t turn up for repair work!
Logged numerous complaints - yet nothing happens! Like do they even care?
Doesn’t look like they know the laws around landlord and tenants and the rights a tenant holds!
Iv wasted so many days off work and no one turns up for repairs! are u gna pay me for not going to work?????
Fix360 is a bunch of cowboys no motivation to even turn up for work!
The only thing to do now is lodge a complaint right at the top and stakeholders! Only way anything will get done!

"Disgraceful"

Disgraceful, no repairs despite over 3 years of complaining of having live electrical wires hanging out into my kitchen. Reported black mould 3 months ago, still nothing been done, all children and myself are now waiting for test results from Drs proving illnesses have been caused by this mould. Have complained numerous times, still nothing done. Time to sue me thinks

"There is a continuous banging whirring…"

There is a continuous banging whirring noise in my mo ther in law flat which has been going on and off for last 12 months. When they last came out 4 different times they tried to say it was all in her head !!!! We actually recorded it to prove it wasn't. After being told numerous times there was nothing wrong they finally fixed it. Then yesterday it started again worse than ever ,again we have vidioed and recored it. We rang up to be told someone coming out urgently!!! Still waiting 24 hours later ,she is almost 91 just out of hospital where she been seriously ill and had to listen to this all day and night it's like torture. Also may I had she had water coming down her living room wall approx 4 weeks ago into her plug socket, again it was urgent again took 3 days to come out saying the electric might trip !! What good is that to a 90year old frail woman who lives alone? Absolutely disgusting how you are treating the elderly fast enough to take the rent and maintenance money but do no maintenance. Would you put your mother through this ??? Doubt it very much. Shame on you the management.

Absolute joke I have been a tenant for 24 years the past year I have nothing but problems from shabby repair work to my home from cowboy builders I waiting for repairs no one shows up serious issues here regarding communication I am not happy but you still take my rent every week

"Believe Housing Bishop Auckland"

I have tried for more than a month to speak with Believe Housing's Data Protection Team. Each day I telephone but get no return call. I am complaining because I'm being given incorrect info then am being told this isn't on computer, then I'm told by Emergency phone line and workmen that what I was told but which didn't exist really does exit on computers. I am being harassed, alarmed and distressed and today when I asked the call handler if she would be happy if it were her she said she wasn't in that situation and so wouldn't be able to say. Professionally speaking the answer should have been no she wouldn't have been happy to be given incorrect information. The customer may not always be right but the staff should know that an Organisation cannot lie about the information they do, do not or in this case do hold on records somewhere! There are Data Protection Laws to abide by. O out of 100!

I have lived at a place called willow barns in blurton stoke on trent since May 2016.there is a small group of residents who think they own the place .they sit around and moan about lack of events going on,then a few months ago 2 very good friends of mine moved in ,they wanted to make things better for residents by arranging things to do ,this did not go down well with the above small group formentioned who proceeded to discriminate verbally abuse spit at damage the veical of my friends this has carried on now for months, and after pleading with your houseing management time after time they have turned a blind eye ,they have done nothing.this treatment of my dear friend over the months has resulted in her being admitted to hospital because of her mental health.your houseing group have no empathy for residents lives or wellbeing this is evident .please anyone interested in applying to live in willow barns this could be you next time give your houseing a wide berth they are bad news.shame on you your houseing SHAME ON YOU
