"I don't think they can!"

I don't think they can!. You get harassment off neighbours, they tell lies and YHG believe them over you. Would never go with these again they are a total disgrace. They tell you they will ring you back and never do!. You have to wait on the phone for about 45 minutes to get through. Neighbours cause you harassment and they believe them. Then they ask you if you want to move as it's an easy option for them and don't address the harassment of neighbours. They should should hang there head in shame, but we know it's all about an easy life for them. We have nothing but harassment off them.

"Evil Housing Association"

Geniunely frustrating company to deal with. They can't seem to wrap their head around the idea of someone working a 9-5 job and demand you talk to their 9-5 offices regarding any kind of issue.

Their systems are always down and they consistently increase rent crying about "oooo hard times for us corporate entities too ;C" despite their yearly statements always boasting multi-million net incomes and a "finacially robust" business.

I desperately want to move out but whenever I start to earn enough to start saving YHG isn't too far behind with another rent increase. Every schmuck with internet access can see your annual reports where you gush over "increased profits largely due to rent increase" to investors, it's sickening.

YHG is living proof that ombdusmans and watchdogs in the renting sector have failed, and YHG is more than happy to exploit the gap in regulation to squeeze as much profit out of it's struggling tenants as legally possible.

There is a special place in hell reserved for the suits at YHG, how people like that sleep at night is beyond me.

"There is damp and mould I am contacting…"

There is damp and mould I am contacting them since May 2023 and now it’s November and still no job been done. Again they give me appointments for December and another appointment for February 2024 🤦🏻‍♂️ I am sick of them
I can’t live in bedroom because of damp I have been sleeping in living room for last 2 weeks
They keep send someone and they come have a look and say ok we will be back and never come back
Now I have complained to council and on there website many times

"Fire safety"

One star is too good for YHG

My father is a tenant of a sheltered accommodation scheme by YHG.
He was involved in a fire at his home and taken to hospital from the scene. Turns out he had no smoke alarm in his living area and no alarms linked to his telecare system. Luckily a neighbour saw smoke coming from underneath his front door and alerted the fire brigade. We have proof of all of this information.
Not only that they then allowed him to live in a smoke damaged flat for months..(to which they admitted in writing) which affected his health.

This is a company who is already being taken to court to failing to comply with fire regulations at a retirement village in Warrington.
The staff are rude and condescending.
They have absolutely no concern or sympathy for the safety of their residents. They continue to lie to cover each others backs.
I would urge anyone who has a problem with this company to go to the Housing Ombudsman.
They are an absolute disgrace!


In response to your reply YHG, was my Father treated with respect and care?! My complaint is apparently now closed with YHG so it has been passed on now higher than YHG
Who will hopefully see that how he was treated and what unsafe conditions he was living in. Regards

*update* The head of compliance Kate M and Jon S of older peoples services responses to my complaint had been forwarded on to every fire brigage in the North west so they are aware of Exacty how YHG work and their fire safety compliance.

"Moved into a new building 06/2022 with…"

Moved into a new building 06/2022 with a 6 month old baby over in the January my windows started to leak, baby ended up in hospital with bronchilitis on breathing machine to help him, booked a repair, no one come, in March 23 MCI come to do a handover visit, as no one come & had to rebook my window I had to seal my baby’s windows myself, MCI then refused to fix it as I had ‘sealed it myself’ untill I told the vile woman my baby had been in hospital sick cause of the draft they soon changed there mind. They come checked the windows said it was a 2 ma job they’d rebook it, they come back 3 months later checked again & again said 2 man job they rebooked it. On the day I gets a call saying due to sickness they had to cancel. Now 7 months later they booked it for today, between 12-5. Safe to say no one come again! My flats freezing now with the cold weather coming in & probably have to wait till after Xmas now to be fixed. I’ll be getting I touch with my local council now to try a get this resolved.

"YHG are a disgrace!!!"

YHG are a disgrace!!!

Cold damp living room, due to no damp course & no insulation. Leaky radiator pipes, noise nuisance, drug activity. Grounds we pay service charges for in terrible state. Report disrepair & get bullied by C###ish managers who could not run a bath!

Had enough since February 2022 & am now going to law courts in morning.

"YHG - Be Mindful When Purchasing"

We purchased a property in Kirkby (Whitfield Brook) in March 2023.

Please be mindful when purchasing a property on this site. It’s overrun with affordable housing tenants who can’t control their children, over 40% of the estate is affordable housing, which wasn’t explained when we signed.

You have to pay YHG a monthly management fee, I don’t honestly know what you get for this, as they are so incompetent it’s unreal.

I raised a complaint & was assured it would be dealt with, I was then bounced back between Lorraine & Gillian, neither of whom took any ownership or accountability & Gillian even though she was meant to be dealing with the complaint just ignored all communication, E Mails, SMS, What’s App & then only responded once I cc her into an E Mail to the CEO today.

She then had the audacity to advise me that there was an alternative channel to report issues via even though this was logged as a formal complaint some 7 weeks ago, which they haven’t even acknowledged with the 10 working day deadline. So after logging a complaint 7 weeks ago, the so called person running the site couldn’t run a bath, let alone deal with the complaint she was meant to be dealing with 7 weeks ago, yes Gillian, this refers to you!

They make reporting faults difficulty, blame everything on sub contractors, provide dates & deadlines for things to be completed which subsequently pass, without any communication from
them or follow up.

I would be extremely mindful with this organisation, many people are complaining regarding a magnitude of issues, yet these issues are never addressed by YHG & they just seem intent on doing what they want.

They even had the audacity to threaten to issue me with a warning for speaking to the parents of some children who had damaged my property, when I had the footage on a Ring Doorbell.

"Denying buying the house because of the colour of my skin"

I’m from an south Asian ethnicity Me and my mum went to check out the house that we wanted to get a mortgage on and as soon as we entered the place her face dropped as she was probably expecting a white family. We had a 10k deposit and still she said we can’t get a mortgage and we asked why and she replied “oh no you can’t afford it you won’t be able to” while I have 5 working siblings and my mum also works and she thinks we won’t be able to help my mum pay for the bills and they refused us the house. Every other lender is approving us and when we try this one they have refused it. First the women she said 5k deposit and then my mother said yes I have it ready and then she said oh now you need 9k. We are friendly people we don’t have any criminal record of any sort and this is how dark skin coloured people still get treated (Bolton) eldercourt park BL3

"Embarrassing/miserable company"

Just another awful review added. Literally the worst housing group ever. We’ve had mice at home for almost two months now and the problem is still not fixed, as this is not an emergency for them (LOL) They keep taking the p*** by saying they will book and appointment for X day and nobody comes to the house. I can’t even remember how many calls and emails we’ve done. Another problem we have is damp and mould in the bathroom, and this is a serious issue and again, still nobody coming. We called today to check what the hell was going on and the customer service operator told us they were gonna come before 4pm to fix both problems. Guess what happened? OF COURSE NOBODY CAME. We stopped paying rent until this is fixed and they are aware.

Honestly the managers should be embarrassed about working with this miserable company.

**** Just to let you know guys, raising a complaint with them doesn’t work. Instead, just postpone paying the rent and go to the citizen advise or ombudsman and they can assess you

"This is going to be a very long review…"

This is going to be a very long review so read fully.Absolutely abismal from a 40 year tennant from grosvenor housing ass to arena housing to your housing .Waited one year to get my roof / leak fixed in my kitchen from start to finsish 6 months to get my bath panel replaced ,After contacting them to say how incompatent they were also being passed to several different people who apologised eventually i took this exceptionally to the next level if things didnt get sorted pics on facebook all other social platforms even to rip off britain and would have no further contact until someone from the higher eschelons from the company turned up on my door step and around 4-5 days after someone did .The director of asset management had a look round inside and outside next minute works were booked in .And within about 7-10 days i had a bathroom refit as my skirting boards were rotten as water was getting to them from the shower an actual roofer came and i got my roof fixed got my fan replaced and even a new back door .To cut long story short after telling them how fantastic things looked ive now made a training video for themin regard to my experience and to help them to live up to there mission statement a very interesting time for me and yhg
