Horrendous umbrella company. Totally overpriced - make sure to compare elsewhere. I'm currently paying 50% less and getting better service.

Also note that they are extremely slow at processing requests (P45s) and take a major cut on pension contributions.

Finally, expect no sympathy or support if you go through major life events: Parasol would simply not allow me to work remotely from overseas so I could be with my father, who suffers from stage 4 cancer, despite the agency and end client's support.

Charged my client £595 interest on a late payment and kept it all as an admin fee, so much for no hidden fees.

My client did not pay on time, so Parasol used a third party debt collector. The debt collector charged their own fees (totally understandable) but in addition Parasol charged £595 interest. I was left unpaid for nearly 6 months. I was more than willing to split the interest, however Parasol kept it all and hid behind legalese in the contract to argue that the money was theirs to keep. Interest is not mentioned at all in the contract. Having talked to the client, Parasol's effort on this was no more than a few emails, and they used third party debt collection (with its own additional fees). So, unless they have a very inefficient internal process for handling things like this, it is pure profiteering.

I have used parasol on and off for a few years and thought I was paying the more than £120 per month for a premium umbrella service. Turns out that fee doesn't cover much more than pressing go on payroll...

Very disappointed! I will no longer be using Parasol and would not recommend them to any contractor doing inside IR35 work.

Another none-response with a disingenuous request to discuss further. You already shut discussion down over email, hence this review. I really don't understand how you can argue that it cost you £595 to ask a third party debt collector to start debt collection and send a few payment reminder emails...
