I have an Elica Extractor Hood which was purchased in 2003 the lights were not working. The engineer found the circuit board needed replacing. An attempt was made to order a replacement. It was reported that the circuit board was now obsolete. An engineer arrived with confidence, telling me that he will get my lights working which he did. He rebuilt the circuit board and was very helpful.. I am please that I contacted Domex as my appliances are working properly now.

The repairman diagnosed the problem but ended up leaving us with a worse leak and no one to come back out and help remediate. A week later and we are still waiting for Domex to order parts.
The issue is in a large part due to the engineer. As you say, he cleaned the autodos system but then ran off. He never thought to run a 5 minute test to see the results. Subsequently we had a flood on the very first attempt to run the system. If he had tested the results - even briefly, we would have avoided the flood and ordered the parts right then.
