"Stupid Emails, poor communications."
I had trouble with this company a few years back when we had a granny flat built on our property, which is supplied by AGL, as is our main residence.
The two accounts got mixed up and it took months to get it sorted out.
Recently I got an email from AGL Electric giving me "Insights" into my electricity usage, and how I could save money.
Basically it told be that 25% of my Electricity usage was for heating water and suggesting that we "took shorter showers"
Interesting, because all water heating at the Granny Flat and main residence is done by Gas, so that email has caused me to doubt the accuracy of their billing systems.
I have tried contacting them. Apparently I can no longer email them, or reply to their emails. Their website doesn't help, and the only alternative seems to be to contact them by phone.
I really don't want to do that - having had previous bad experiences with their Call Centre.
Can anyone help me here?

"2 weeks after moving and still no wifi"
I cannot express this enough, if you’re moving house DONT SWITCH INTERNET TO AGL, KEEP YOUR CURRENT PROVIDER! I moved & tried to switch with AGL cause they were my power company so thought it would be nice & easy but i could NOT have been any more wrong! 2 weeks now and still not wifi, was told a technician will be coming to fix the wifi as something was going wrong on their end & it couldnt be connected, come to the day the technician is suppose to be here & i called to find out where they were just to find out our whole plan had been cancelled with no reasoning as to why? Still not confident i will be having wifi & i work from home so this whole thing has cost me a fortune out of pocket for mobile data & hotspotting

"Ripoff every way...AGL"
Absolutely rip off feed in tariff, astronomical daily charge, end of our relationship. I have had $40 credit in their goodbye letter they stated, I have to do errands to get it back. (Whaaat???) They did all the direct debit in no time, always attached with a threat, what will come down on me if I have no money on the charged account, now they owe me, I can fight for it? And indeed, took me long and tiring chat with their quite obviously "outsourced" employee to clear it up " YES, SURPRISE, I WANT MY MONEY!!" After few days later got phone calls for a few seconds, impossible to pickup, figured, from AGL. One day they transferred $14 instead of the $40 was in the final statement. I don't think this is called flawless process...

"AGL overcharged my Gas account"
AGL overcharged my Gas account, they messaged months later stating that I had a credit and to call them to receive it.
Called the contact number, spoke to an agent who stated that it would be back in my bank account in 5-10 business days.
No money was deposited into my account, called again, agent stated that he couldn't do anything and was transferred to another department, stayed on the line for 1hour and a half until the automated system stated ended the call.
Terrible service, terrible system. Wish I could give 0 stars

I will never deny anyone to earn a profit, but when the margins are designed to ensure that the advantages go to share holders and not the loyal customers. Well !!!

Called and 20 minutes later Robyn from customer support answered, by the time it took me to take off mute, Robyn hung up, this was less than 3 seconds. now another 20 minutes wait time, this is the respect of clients time they offer.

We have been with agl for 4 yrs, we had a gas leak last year , people came out fixed it, agl said they would deduct amount during gas leak and reimburse us they dident. At the same time this year they charged us the same amount saying its normal it's the same as last year. Don't use them they are deceitful and liars, got a final reading and will never use them again
