We cannot rate Abbott-Wade highly enough! The 2 young men who fitted our fabulous new oak/glass staircase worked quickly and efficiently and were extremely courteous. The office was also very helpful and kept us updated at all times with nothing being too much trouble. A lovely family run company where you deal with ‘real’ people! And our new staircase looks amazing! Highly recommended!

"Bitterly disappointed"

Our original staircase failed and I could not find anyone locally to replace them. Reluctantly I went to a national company in the belief, that although I would be paying more I would get a quality product. The new staircase, bannisters and cupboards were fitted in January 2023, but I have had to call them back twice, due to shoddy workmanship and poor materials.
The most recent time was in April this year, for the following reasons:
The shelf above the dog cage space had warped badly;
The wood was not fixed to the wall properly, at the back of the space, leaving a gap;
The decorative rail, running from top to bottom of the flight was only attached at the top and bottom and had come adrift in the middle, leaving a ten foot gap;
The smallest cupboard door would not open freely and this was the second time it had had to be fixed after falling off completely, prompting the first time I had called them back.
This staircase cost me far more than I could afford and was a panic buy, due to the failure of the original stairs, but I never expected to be charged five figures for such a poor quality product. A quarter of the price would still be expensive for what I got in return.
I would advise looking elsewhere before using this company.

Expertise, advise on the processes to complete, attention to detail by the lads very professional, tided up after themselves and disposed of bricks neatly outside for us to remove. Initially seems expensive as it is status piece however, the quality and results are amazing and worth the cost.

We are delighted with our new staircase from Abbott-Wade, from start to finish everyone arrived on time and answered all our questions. The company fitted around our holiday dates as we wanted to be at home for the installation as we have a rather nervous dog!
The two guys who did the installation worked really hard and got the whole job finished in two days and we had a complete new staircase! They were experts at what they do and took a pride in their work, overall a great experience.
