"Esperienza Disastrosa e Nessuna Risposta: Il Fallimento del Servizio Clienti di Green Motion"

Qualche giorno fa ho lasciato una recensione su Trustpilot raccontando la mia disastrosa esperienza con Green Motion Italia. Avevo prenotato un’auto per €210, ma alla fine mi sono ritrovato a pagare la cifra assurda di €1.080, un rincaro del 400%. Un vero e proprio salasso che mi ha fatto sentire truffato e sfruttato, rovinandomi le vacanze.

Dopo aver espresso il mio malcontento, Green Motion ha pensato bene di salvarsi la faccia invitandomi a scrivere al loro servizio clienti, dichiarandosi “very sorry” per l’accaduto. Ho seguito le loro istruzioni e inviato una dettagliata email spiegando tutto nei minimi particolari. Risultato? Nessuna risposta. Silenzio assoluto.

Questo atteggiamento dimostra chiaramente che la loro cortesia è solo di facciata e che, una volta incassati i soldi, i problemi dei clienti non li riguardano minimamente. La mancanza di assistenza e la totale indifferenza sono la prova lampante di quanto poco Green Motion tenga alla propria clientela.

Green Motion Italia si è rivelata una compagnia inaffidabile. Le loro pratiche borderline rasentano la truffa e il servizio clienti è inesistente. Diffidate.

In dettaglio, quanto di seguito.

Green motion aveva scritto, in risposta ad una mia recensione quanto segue: Hi, thank you very much for taking the time to review us. Ho risposto:
Dear Green Motion Team,
 
I am writing to formally address the issues I experienced during my car rental with your Fiumicino location on December 21st, as outlined in my recent review on Trustpilot. I appreciate the opportunity to provide further details regarding my concerns.
Key Issues Encountered:
                  1.              Forced Upgrade and Additional Costs:
Only upon arrival at Fiumicino Airport after my Brussels Airlines flight, which was delayed by nearly three hours, I was informed that the car originally assigned to me was, unexpectedly , no longer available. In alternative I was then compelled to accept an upgrade to a higher-category vehicle, not needed by me,  at a significantly higher cost, totaling €420 above the €210 I had already paid through CarTrawler.
                  2.              Deposit (€450):
                  •               In addition to the insurance I subscribed I was required to deposit €450 for potential fuel charges, with reassurance that the vehicle’s condition was not a concern due to the insurance coverage I had purchased.
                  3.              Missing Parcel Shelf (Cappelliera):
                  •               The car had been delivered without it. Shortly after the rental period began, at a certain point I wondered why the car had no parcel shelf. I thought that this might have been part of the vehicle’s design or of the normal configuration, it was my first time to have possessed a Jeep Compass, never driven one before.    The car had always been parked in safe place.  I supposed that there was nothing to be concerned, benefiting from a full insurance. However, upon returning the car, I was charged €450 for this missing item.
                  4.              Disproportionate Cost of Damages:
                  •               The cost of the parcel shelf was exaggerated to around 400€. I have verified that replacements for this part (for the Jeep Compass) are available in the market for as little as €150 or even less.
                  5.              Additional Charges (€101.64):
                  •               I was charged €51.64 for “glass and roof liability” and €50 as an “administrative fee.” These charges were neither explained at the time of the withdrawal of the car, nor clearly justified. Strangely enough the charged amount matches precisely the entire deposit amount,
 
My Requests:
 
                  1.              Refund of the €450 deposit deducted for the missing parcel shelf,.
                  2.             An acknowledgment that the Green Motion Italy defaulted in providing the car I had booked, and that the forced upgrade was unfair and unjustified.
 
Summary:
 
The total cost of the rental was €1,080 (€210 + €420 + €450) for less than seven days (more than 150€/day!) with an increase by 400% of the initial budget of 210€ paid to Cartrawler, and in spite of being a diligent  and even flexible customer. This experience was deeply unsatisfactory and left me feeling deceived and overcharged, and spoiled the holiday period. I believe that the Christmas period favors reciprocal understanding and communication, and was shocked by the greediness demonstrated by your company in my case.
 
I trust you will carefully review this matter and provide a resolution that reflects fairness and accountability. I look forward to your response.

"300 euro per il gancio inferiore della cappelliera... GENIALI"

Noleggiato una panda il giorno 18 Dicembre 2024, il giorno che ho dovuto riconsegnarla, nonostante l'ufficio chiudesse alle ore 18, alle ore 17.45 non c'era nessuno e chiedendo al chiosco affianco (Fiumicino) dicono che è consuetudine che non ci siano e mi hanno consigliato di lasciare le chiavi nella box.

Il giorno dopo mi addebitano 300 euro per il gancio della cappelliera mancante :D

Il gancio della cappelliera è veramente subdolo e geniale, devo darvi merito.

Ovviamente sapevano cosa addebitarmi perché mi hanno chiesto di mandare il video tramite whatsapp del check-out e sapevano che non avevo filmato l'interno.

Customer service hanno risposto ad una email poi spariti.

Aprite una controversia tramite la banca o Mastercard/Visa e dovranno dimostrare loro che il pezzo è stato effettivamente danneggiato dall'ultimo noleggiatore, altrimenti rimborso totale e pagano anche una fee di chargeback.

Warning: Stay Away from This Company

I strongly advise everyone to avoid this company. They attempted to scam me by falsely claiming that I caused damage to the rental car—something that was completely impossible. They used photos and played deceptive games, even asking me if I had extended insurance before accusing me of the damage.

Thankfully, I had purchased extended rental insurance, so I didn’t have to worry financially, but their tactics were clearly fraudulent. Their 1-star ratings speak for themselves.

thankfully, we also took videos of the car which was all scratched up.

I was forced to go to the Italian police to file a fraud claim against them. Be cautious and protect yourself—do not trust this company. They are unprofessional, dishonest, and unethical


This is what happens when you get car rental cheaper than anyone else.

"AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!"

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!
Tried to scam me to pay extra insurance of 256 euro, even though I had full insurance (even tyres and roof), more than the price of the rental and the insurance I had paid!!!
They said they don't accept credit card that expires in less than 6 months, but they did not accept any other digital credit card, no Revolut because it was debit visa or debit Mastercard. These terms are not mentioned anywhere, about the physical card or the debit VISA, they keep making up excuses. They don't accept anything unless you pay the extra money, pure blackmail. If you agree to pay this then they accept everything!!!! A couple next to us had to pay, as they couldn't find another car during Christmas...
Terrible guy, rude, refused to give me anything in writing for me to claim the money back from my rental agent. Very suspicious they don't hand in anything in writing!!!
STAY AWAY!!!! There are so many reputable car rentals meters away. These were the only ones causing problems. They did it to 3 different customers in the 30 minutes I was there. Too bad I had picked them for my holidays, and very glad they did not have their way. Next time I will be reading reviews beforehand.

"PESSIMA AZIENDA NOLEGGIO AUTO"

Purtroppo non è possibile dare 0 stelle perché è ciò che meriterebbero. Ho noleggiato un'auto presso questa compagnia per 4 giorni. Al momento del check in mi è stato chiesto di lasciare l'auto al parcheggio King Parking accanto poiché gli uffici erano chiusi dopo le 21. Alla riconsegna ho seguito le istruzioni e ho lasciato la macchina nel parcheggio, consegnando le chiavi a un operatore presente. Tuttavia, nessuno ha ispezionato l'auto né mi è stato chiesto di firmare un documento di riconsegna.

Solo il giorno dopo ho ricevuto una fattura che richiedeva 600 euro per un'antenna mancante e per un danno a un cerchione mai fatti!! Tengo a sottolineare che non è stato effettuato nessun tipo di controllo da parte della compagnia al momento della riconsegna, mai capitato con nessun altra compagnia.

Assolutamente da evitare!!!

"Esperienza pessima"

Esperienza pessima, servizio inefficiente
La mia esperienza con questa compagnia di noleggio auto è stata estremamente deludente. All'arrivo, il loro POS non aggiornato non accettava la mia carta di credito, nonostante fosse perfettamente funzionante e valida (ho chiamato anche la banca). Il personale non ha offerto alcuna alternativa o soluzione per risolvere il problema, lasciandomi completamente senza supporto. Al dire di alcune persone sul posto è un problema frequente e in tanti sono costretti ad andare via sensa auto.
Inoltre, la navetta che doveva prenderci all'aeroporto è arrivata con un notevole ritardo, costringendoci ad aspettare a lungo e creando ulteriore disagio.
Un servizio così scarso e poco professionale è inaccettabile, specialmente considerando che ci si aspetta maggiore efficienza da un'azienda di noleggio auto. Sono stato rimborsato (booking) ma sono rimasto a piedi il 24 dicembre. Non consiglio assolutamente questa compagnia e non intendo utilizzarla in futuro.

"Arnaque "

Attention… Nous avions réservé via Internet une voiture chez eux.
Tout d’abord sur le site ils indiquaient qu’ils fermaient à 21h. Parfait pour les arrivées tardive, sauf que nous avons atterri à 17h05 et qu’ils ferment à 18h.
Quand nous avons essayé de les appeler… Bien sûr… Ils étaient injoignable.
Nous voyant pris dans un piège puisque l’entreprise était fermé , nous avons été dans l’obligation de prendre un taxi pour l’aller jusque dans le centre de Rome, que nous avons payé 60 € à l’aller. Et bien sûr au retour également car nous ne sommes pas venu chercher le véhicule le lendemain à cause de frais de taxi encore plus lourd. Nous avons opté pour les transports en commun que je vous souhaite vivement de prendre car la circulation dans Rome m’a l’air compliqué.
Nous nous sommes donc fait arnaquer par la société Green Motion que nous ne recommandons pas.

"Des escrocs sans scrupule"

Réservation d’une voiture via BOOKING. A l’arrivée alors que nous nous apprêtions à louer la voiture il nous ai dit que nos cartes bancaires VISA ne sont pas conformes car ce sont des cartes de débit et pas de crédit mais que cela peut s’arranger en payant un supplément de 300€. Comment BOOKING peux t il protéger des escrocs semblables ? Nous sommes aller louer chez EuropCar ou bien sur nos cartes ne posaient pas de problème. A fuir.

"Compagnia fantasma"

Questa compagnia di autonoleggio è una vera truffa dato che non esiste e si appoggia ad altre compagnie di autonoleggio quando ti permettono di farlo. A me personalmente mi hanno preso i soldi del noleggio e una volta arrivato all'aeroporto di Firenze non c'era traccia dell'ufficio di autonoleggio. In 20 anni che noleggio macchine in tutto il mondo è la prima volta che mi capita una cosa del genere. Non cascate nella mia stessa TEUFFA. Metterò un legale per far chiarezza a tutto ciò.

"Just a bunch of scammers, avoid as pest!"

I rented a car from Green Motion in Italy. While the initial deposit was quickly refunded after rental initiation, upon return they tried to claim non-existent damages (such as microscopic windscreen chips and plastic rim scratches). The staff openly admitted their practices, even saying 'customers usually block their cards and we can't do anything' - which was quite revealing of their methods.
Their behavior after return was concerning:

- Unable to specify damage costs on the spot
- Claimed they needed to 'send everything to Rome'
- Threatened to charge my card later with unspecified amounts
- Mentioned checking videos of other customers (which makes no sense for individual damage claims)

I would strongly advise potential customers to avoid this company and stick to well-known rental agencies to avoid such practices.
