"Circle K Gift Card disaster"

On the 21st December I purchased a Circle K Gift Card to give to a friend who has recently lost her father. I was given a receipt from Circle K confirming the amount and the gift card.

When my friend attempted to use the gift card, they said the card had not been setup. My friend has sent multiple emails to One4all. They open a case and then close it a day later saying either visit the retailer or case resolved, when its not. My friend doesn't need this kind of hassle at this difficult time.

I visited the Circle K Service Station and they said I have to take the issue up with One4all. The manager said they'd had another person with the same problem. This suggests that there's a systemic issue.

"Absolute SCAM"

Absolute SCAM! How is this legal?? I was given €60 on card. Found it hard to find a shop in my area that would accept it for starters. Time passes. I see it expires in March 2024 so I decide I better spend it.I check the balance - I now have €22!! They have robbed €38 in “charges”! What an outright scam!

I cant reply to One4alls response on my initial review.

The website and app are terrible. Most of the time, I can't log into the website because of the recaptcha. It doesn't matter what browser or connection I use. Then when I do finally get in, I can't see my card numbers. I get a "Request Unsuccessful" error on the card. Honestly, what is the point.

I was mortified at the head of a large queue in Tesco when these digital'things' were rejected multiple times.Useless. Over-complicated Worthless. Not fit for purpose. I wish I could give minus stars. Worst gift ever.

"Dreadful experience"

Dreadful. One hour spent trying to activate gold card. Upload of driving licence & passport and responded licence expired. It had not. Passport loaded & could not detect. I gave up! Still unable to use card. Avoid buying these. Theyll give you a headache!Too much hassle

"Extremely difficult to activate"

Extremely difficult to activate. Very frustrating. I have spent hours trying to activate the card both online and in the app and have been unsuccessful in both situations. I am not impressed!
