The siding Power put on the house a little over a year ago looks fine, but I have had to call them back twice to repair pieces of siding that came loose. This should not happen. The first time, I was pleased that Power sent someone over promptly to repair the damage. I called last week about a similar problem and am very disappointed that I will have to wait about 6 weeks for repair. This is not acceptable to me.

"Wouldn’t use Power Again"

I hired Power Home Remodeling (PHR) to replace all the windows in my house and two sliding doors. All together it paid approx 23k which I had negotiated down from their original quote of 29k (my house has 15 windows and the two sliding doors). The windows and doors do look nice and they are made by Pella which is a very reputable company, but I can tell you that you will be able to find other contractors that will do the same quality work for a much more affordable price. Here are some of the problems I experienced with PHR:

1) My install date was originally 12/18, but I was called two days prior and told that the manufacturer didn’t have the windows ready. So we rescheduled for two weeks later and the same thing happened again. I know setbacks happen, but the fact that PHR only called two days in advance both times is unacceptable for a company this big. I called multiple times and asked for someone from upper management to reach out. Each time I was told someone would reach out, but never heard back.

2) Day of install:
- the install crew didn’t clean up after themselves. They left messes both in the house and trash outside which is now all over my backyard.
- it’s very hard to communicate with them due to a language barrier
- three of the windows didn’t even open and shut properly. I had to ask the main technician to fix them. For the amount you are paying for windows and doors, the least they could do is check their own work to ensure everything is functional.
