I have been waiting for nearly 2 months for any progress on the address forwarding issue I raised with them. After 17 years as a web-site hosting customer, I closed my site and simply wanted to have my url forwarded to a facebook page. How hard can that be???

Move to Shopify -- save yourself a LOT of problems.

I was an EKM user for years, but after countless issues, I had no choice but to leave.

They promised faster loading times and seamless event launches for our exciting new product pre-orders, yet we kept losing sales due to failures and website crashes.

In one instance—fully documented—the site crashed for 20 minutes while eager buyers tried to purchase a highly limited product. We lost sales.

Eventually, I switched to Shopify and was up and running within days, enjoying superior speed and access to third-party apps that made my site look and perform far better. And when I confronted them - EKM - on the Facebook page about images not loading via bulk edit spreadsheet data, I was kicked off. 'Emotional Damage'.

Adding to this -- Shopify's 3rd Party Apps really are great such as EBAY integration -- with ease... unlike EKM's problematic system that didn't even upload the SKU's -- pretty pointless when selling on multiple platforms. Also linking to Click and Drop is a doddle with Shopify.

Seriously - thinking about a website go to Shopify. You'll be up and running in a day, testing new apps and making FAR BETTER SALES!

I've been with EKM since 2020 and honestly, I wish I had never started my online business with them. When doing my initial research it was between EKM and Shopify and the deciding factor was to support a British company - that was a mistake.

Firstly, a positive: the staff at EKM are, on the whole, super. No matter how good your workforce is though, you cannot get away from the fact that the platform EKM is built on is tired, old and clunky.

Every year I thought the money would be invested to regenerate the platform and 5 years on, I have resigned myself to the fact that isn't going to be the case. EKM was bought out a couple of years ago and again, I thought that would be the saving grace... It wasn't.

If you'd like your goods and services to be found on search engines - you're headed for an uphill struggle with a platform like EKM that uses ASP as its coding language. The website is consistently slow to load and when you optimise images using EKM's own instructions for faster load speeds, the images are so pixelated and unprofessional nobody is going to purchase from you for fear of being scammed. When you speak to support about this you're simply told to choose between a slow loading website with clear images or a faster loading website with pixelated images. It's 2025 people.

My advice? Just use Shopify. I run another online business and compared to EKM - it's in an infinitely different league. It's SEO-friendly, fast to load, slick and it handles images with ease. My intention is to move my website with EKM to Shopify also.

It's really sad and I understand there must be a huge cost to rebuild an entire platform, but I don't see a future after 5 years with EKM.

This is an honest review written with love - I wish things could have been different.

Over the past few month`s EKM have lost focus on their customers and services provided, could no longer recommend.
