AVOID AVOID AVOID
Paid £349 up front for a boiler repair. (no heating or hot water)
Reported fault on Thursday. Engineer arranged to call on Friday @ 3pm. Didn't turn up so contacted him at 5pm. Said he wasn't coming as Network Repair hadn't paid him for previous jobs. (can understand why he wouldn't want to come but don't accept the job in the first place). He then said he would come on Saturday by 1pm. He arrived at 2pm as I was on the phone with Network Repair to see if he was coming.
They put me on hold while they contacted the engineer. They then told me he would be there within the hour as he drove into my drive.
He diagnosed the fault which I already told them as the Fault code was on the boiler. Said he would try and get part but because of the age of the boiler may be difficult.
I contacted him on Sunday morning but he couldn't get a part and said he was going to put his report in on Monday morning. (why not put report in immediately)
I called Network Repair on Monday morning to see what was happening and they informed me it would be 7 days before they could get a part.
I asked for a full refund but they only refunded £235 as they said an engineer had come out.
It cost me £114 for an engineer to come out and tell me something that I already told them.

The whole process from contacting the the service through to the technician arriving was swift and professional.
The tech was polite and friendly.
He was thorough in his troubleshooting and in no time had diagnosed the correct issue with the machine, which is back up and running. Thanks.

The advice from James Tucker was straightforward, clear and helpful, the engineer was booked the same day and arrived the next day - solved the problem. Engineer was polite, gave general advice about cooker and just got on with the repair. I would definitely use again.

"Not as straightforward as I was expecting"

I needed an engineer to repair a boiler in a rental property in Plymouth. The tenants had no hot water at all.
The first person RN recommended couldn't visit the property when the tenants were available; second person claimed to have visited the property without an appointment and didn't seem to understand that they couldn't just drop in when the tenants weren't home. I guess they do this so they can say a first visit was made within the stated time-frame.
Around day 3 or 4, a third engineer - who turned out to be an old-school, proper engineer, took on the work. Rather than replacing parts unnecessarily, he found that the boiler was clogged with dust from a previous repair, and cleaned them, which I was happy with.
The engineer had not worked with Repair Network before and TBH I'm not sure either of the other two engineers had either, so the promise of a 'network of tried and trusted' tradespeople was not the case in this instance.
The worst issue is that once the job was signed off, the engineer was not paid. He asked me to contact RN which I did several times - I gather the number he had been given wasn't working / wasn't answered. I was a bit annoyed that I was put in this position as a customer particularly as I'd paid ~£355 up front for the repair to be dealt with in my absence.
It's now some 8 weeks since the job was completed, and he still hasn't been paid, despite false assurances from the customer services team at RN. He's apparently now in the process of getting a solicitor involved for which I don't blame him, but what a waste of time and money.
So all in all, not a great experience and I won't use them again.

"Promt and efficient service"

Prompt and efficient service, engineer turned up when expected to fix my dishwasher.
James who arranged the appointment was also very friendly and helpful in arranging it.

We had 2 lovely chaps come to repair our boiler. Both were prompt efficient and very very pleasant. The boiler is now working fine. Thanks to both of them. Xx
