"Cowboy "roofers" "

I would 100% recommend people to avoid this company. Biggest jokers I've ever dealt with.
The "roofers" that came to do our roof were clearly cowboys. Arrived to work by getting dropped off in a car everyday, yet had the cheek to call us one day to say their van had broke down so wouldn't be out til later. Due to this said they would be out over the weekend to finish the job. No shows! Due to this, our roof was left exposed to the elements with just a breathable membrane, which we were told before work commenced it would be water tight the whole time. We had heavy rain that weekend with a large amount of water coming into our loft. The company weren't too fussed, the "roofers" came out the next day to put another cover on and told us they weren't working on our roof that day as they had other repairs to do. What does that tell you.
The job was eventually "complete" 6 weeks later, we were told it would take a week maximum.
Scaffolders came to remove scaffolding and made us aware of cracked and chipped tiles and untidy finishes up the edges. The company sent someone else out to correct this however we still had leaks coming into our roof and leaking gutters.

Shoddy workmanship from the outset and throughout. Unprofessional at all times.

Superb workmen who transformed my gable end terraced house in two days. After they left there was little sign they had even been there other than the excellence of their work on the walls. B-spoke kept every promise from start to finish' Delighted I made them my choice. Highly recommend

The guy came to our house for a quote. He seems professional and explained everything about the roof. He takes a very long time, gives you a discount and the quote only valid for today. You don’t have enough time to think about it. It was kind of forced sale and you must pay 30% of the deposit today. Avoid any upfront payments! Don’t let the salesmen pull you into a nightmare.

"Horrible workmanship "

Recently I just had my new roof installed. The roofers didn’t show on time. They took off my roof one day before the storm came. They told me it was watertight but it wasn’t. All the water came in my attic leaks into two of the bedrooms. They damaged my walls and my brand new attic window. They refused to do anything and told me it was natural. They cheated me very badly.It took 4 weeks to complete, before they started the work they told me just 3 to 4 days. The middle of the roof line connecting to my neighbors was not straight. All cutting tile was not fit properly and looks untidy. They also take off my neighbors tile. Overall, the workmanship was very poor. It wasn’t worth that money. If you want to use this company please consider carefully. It was a nightmare! Horrible company!

"Disappointed with aftercare"

B-Spoke replaced our roof at the start of November last year (2024). We have an extension and porch, however only the main roof was replaced. While we were generally happy with the installation of the new roof, we have been extremely disappointed with the service afterwards, mainly because of:

1. Tiles were broken on the extension roof. This was from the weight of the scaffolding and we were assured these would be replaced. This has not happened.
2. Spare tiles were left on the extension roof. I realised this the night before Storm Eowyn, and went out onto the roof to remove them. If I hadn’t, they likely would’ve blown off and damaged something, or worse injured someone.
3. The extension roof was left extremely dirty with rubble still on it. The dirt is concentrated around where the scaffolding was. This roof was new in 2021 and it was certainly not this filthy beforehand. I had asked B-Spoke for someone to clean it. It was suggested I ask the scaffolders to 'hose it down' when they come to remove the scaffolding. I did so and they have clearly washed all the rubble down into the gutters, or just left it on the roof. The roof is still a mess, and now the gutters are too.

After our initial appointment, I really believed B-Spoke would provide an exceptional service. I have been in touch with the office on multiple occasions. While the person I have spoken with is very pleasant, and has forwarded my messages onto the operations manager, they are clearly then being ignored.

I am in tears writing this because of the upset this has caused my partner and I.
We agreed to have our roof done (almost 2 hours of sales pitch) however after a week of our agreement we received bad news regarding my partners health (she was in hospital.) I attempted to call their ‘office?’ However it was only an American voice on their answer machine’ - her name was **** (I have been advised by B-Spoke to remove

I didn’t want to leave messages as I wanted to speak with a person. I attempted to email however my emails were returned.
They were attempting to call my partner (who was in hospital Obviously not answering her phone) despite me saying at the very onset of the agreement you must call my number as my partner might not be able to answer.
Long story short they are adamant I didn’t make any contact with them during the ‘14 day cooling off period’….untrue because I tried on numerous occassions…..I then received a call from someone stating not only were we not getting our £1,000 deposit back but that we also owed them a further £678!!!!!!
This has put us in a dreadful position.
I have since taken legal advice and will continue to pursue this as it’s disgusting the way we have been treated. I’m now questioning every single thing about this company. Please avoid at all costs. Learn from my mistake…..do not give any cash to them upfront. The sales pitches are there to pull you in….dont be fooled.
