Good reviews are fake, this company has terrible customer support, no phone line only mail which is answered every 2 or 3 days if they want, returning process is a hell they charge u a restocking fee and the shipping cost is on you for their useless privacy hero router..

"Non existent Customer Service "

If it were possible, I'd give negative stars This is not a serious company. Customer support is nonexistent! No one answers the phone. Leave a message and you'll never get a reply by email. Try the on-line chat and you get a virtual attendant requesting that you "open a ticket." Again, no replies. This has gone on for over a week. Fortunately, we are able to get our money back through American Express. Save yourself the hassle and take your business elsewhere.

"Company denied two year warranty…"

Company denied warranty documented in receipt and their previous commitment to refund when the issue was documented.
They issued me a refund via PayPal and withdrew it when I pointed out that it was not the full refund amount for the router. They tried to deduct an additional amount from the refund for a service that was included free with the purchase.

When I disputed this refund amount to FlashRouters they reversed the PayPal refund without explanation and now have the router (which I paid return shipping for at their request) and refuse any refund.

Router consistently failed.

"My $150 + router does not even function as a paperweight, is in it’s original box in my closet"

Know well, that this review was written after exhausting ALL attempts to receive help from this company. I was done pulling my hair out.

Previously written review:
This purchase has been from beginning to end, one of the worst purchasing experiences I’ve had and I don’t want to waste much more time on this .

First: I had to ask twice for a router selection because the first offering did not fit the criteria I asked for.

The responsiveness of emails was very good!

Re: flashrouter Ready to go?
I specifically paid for my router to be set up, ready to go, out of the box. Next thing I know I receive the router and a notice this router needs to be manually set up or configured or whatever terminology they use. I don’t speak much tech language.

I have an iPad ninth generation and I was told this set up appointment cannot be done on an iPad! How can it possibly be that we pay so much money for a product and hands-on help, via video, cannot be done?

The next option is to do the set up via chat. I was in the process of putting the information I observed on the screen into the chat, which happened several times, to best communicate “where I was” and what help I thought I needed. Like I said, I’m a novice.

The person exited the chat shortly after, leaving me hanging, baffled, and waiting for answers.

In emails I stated I needed more help. The return emails directed to video after video after video.

I may be slow, however, given a long enough timeline, a patient teacher, I can learn anything I need to.

I finally asked a friend that was more text savvy, to help me set this router up and he agreed. He traveled 20 miles round-trip to help out. I asked him if he thought this was easy and he basically said this is not as easy as led to believe.

I would’ve appreciated the time and attention to help walk me through the set up process so I was confident the router I purchased, in order to make a Ring doorbell work for a new apartment, after eight months of homelessness, was properly set up, and possibly how to optimize it’s functionality and what else it can do!

This purchase left me baffled and pissed and I don’t like baffled and pissed. Sometimes I need someone to personally guide me at a rate of speed I can understand and learn at, with people that know what they’re doing and WANT to teach. If not, I’m dead in water.

A full refund would be a start to make this right

My $150 + router now has no function at all, not even a paperweight. Not sure how it happened. I know since the initial set up was a nightmare, my router may stay a paperweight unless by some miracle, I can figure out myself how to make it function, since Customer Service doesn’t work for someone like me, that has learning disability and whom needs more time to learn something
