The rating above is based on first impression. No frills basic wine refrigerator for short term storage. Seems to be well made, stylish, easy to use, and does hold 45 regular sized wine bottles. If the reliability turns out to be good, this will be a great value for its intended purpose.

"I ordered wine rack for Apex in 2006 …"

I ordered wine racks for Apex in 2006 and then again this year. In 2006 the service was fantastic, and I am happy with the racks, but we moved and I designed the new wine cellar a month ago.

I am a little unhappy how long it took for the shipping company to do their share, otherwise I would've given them 5 stars.

Looking forward to receiving the racks and hopefully it is still the same quality.

"Needs adjustable shelves."

Like most all chillers it accommodates Standard Bordeaux well. One day Vinotemp will realize that most people that store wine have Pinot Noirs and Syrahs. I would gladly except a chiller that would give a little more room on the shelves for these bottles with less over all capacity. It would not tear labels on these larger bottles.

"EL-45TS Nice cooler for a great price"

EL-45TS Nice cooler for a great price. At first glance wasn’t sure it would hold 45 bottles but once I started filling it I figured it out. I only needed a single zone so this fits the bill perfectly. My only wish is that the door opened from the right instead of the left.
I have read other reviews that say it does not hold 45 bottles. They do not understand how to fill it. The back row bottles should be put in with the wine bottle bottom to the back of cabinet. The front row the bottom of bottle faces the front of door. First 5 shelves hold 7 bottles each, the 6th shelf hold 4 or 5 and the botton holds 5 or 6. That’s 45 bottles folks!
Update- Have had this cooler for 15 months now. Cools properly but does make occasional loud popping sounds that others have mentioned. I believe it has something to do with the refrigerant gas expanding and contracting. Despite the popping the unit works well keeping wine at 55 to 56°

Very nice unit. I Don’t know how you can claim to hold over 40 bottles of wine. I got 22 stored including using the bottom rack. Please send me instruction on how to load the 45 bottles you claim can be stored.

I qill have to review tqice. My first unit arrived and I followed directions allowing to sit for 24 hours befoe plugging in. Loadex the required 5 bottles abd plugged in. After 24 hours the temp went up and the unit was returned to the place of purchase since the compressor was not working. Giving it a second chance ... but only one more.
