Very loud cracking and popping noise

"Love the product"

Love the product, but had trouble attaching the handle to the door. Had to leave the flat washers off. Also, the serial number is in an inaccessible place. I had to lie on my stomach and crawl into the unit to see it.

"What I expected for "free" delivery"

The "white glove" delivery guys were nice people, but my walls are dinged in two places and they didn't level the fridge. Fortunately I'm handy with the spackle, texture, and paint, and my cookbook and I figured out how to do the leveling. The fridge itself is cheap feeling, but should suffice to keep the wine cooled to the proper temperature so long as the hardware doesn't crap out. Waiting on earthquake straps before I fill it with bottles.

"Good wine storage unit, but it does rattle sharply."

While this wine refrigerator is a good value and sits nicely where we have it, it is not quiet. We keep it set for red wine storage at 55 degrees. The house is usually about 72. It is not unreasonably warm, but even at that temperature, the model I have seems to cut off and on a lot and when it cuts off, it has a sharp rattle. It ink that even with a house around 72 degrees, it may struggle a little. I've noticed that in the morning, when the house may be closer to 68 degrees, it cuts on less and therefore rattles less. I wish I could stop that, but I'm not sure how to other than a cooler house or perhaps turning the thermostat on the refrigerator up.

So far it has not been a great start. Day 2 and the whole front door is wet- condensation. So bad it is dripping on my wood floors. Company says they are going to make it right, but it has been a week and they are still calling asking me for photos, proof of purchase etc. So we will see. I have the wine cooler also, it is 2 years old and now that door is starting to fog up! Maybe this is not a great company....

NIce unit, quiet and keeps temperature at the set degree. Good size for a small place.

Great machine. Easy to use. Temperature is consistent. Directions in how-to-use booklet could be more thorough and inclusive.

I purchased a Vinotemp units from Costco and the model name was Element. I returned the first one because it makes a clunking noise approximately every 15 minutes. Last week I returned the unit and picked up another and this unit has the same clunking noise and it is even louder. I plan to return this unit next week but I will not purchase another Element from Costco.
