"Poor Customer Service…"

We bought our Vinotemp beverage center about 18 months previous to the compressor going out. As I recall the warranty was 12 months (our new one purchased elsewhere is 24 months at the same price).

So given that the warranty was expired all I really expected was to be able to get the number for a repair person and get it fixed. That is when things got crazy. After several weeks and three attempts, countless emails sending pictures, calls with Vinotemp we finally found someone willing to work with them to fix it.

To be fair our Vinotemp Rep (Eric) seemed willing to help and said that he would work with his boss on possibly getting us a discount on a new beverage center since getting this one fixed was problematic.

After all of the hassle and the waiting for return calls and emails they came back with $20 off on the replacement compressor and we had to take care of finding the repair service and paying for the repair. If they had done that right away, it would have been fine, but after six weeks and a giant hassle we get $20 off a part that probably cost them $30. It is actually an insult considering how much time we spent trying to resolve the problem.

Customer service with Vinotemp is terrible when you need them so buyer beware. We bought our new unit locally, it comes with a two year warranty and they take care of all repairs. Now that's how it should be.

"Our Vinotemp wine cooler was returned"

Our Vinotemp wine cooler was returned. The shelves were not high enough and accommodated only half the number of bottles advertised. Most annoying was the recycling every 13 minutes with a load "pop" each time.

"QC needs work"

first one I took home never got cold. second one door was not tightened correctly and had to be adjusted and aligned. seems to be working ok now..

"I purchased the EL-45TS from my local …"

I purchased the EL-45TS from my local Costco. Got it home and unpacked easily enough. I did place it where I was going to use it and let it sit for 24 hours before plugging in. When I plugged it in, it dropped down to my desired temp of 58 degrees within about 30 minutes. It runs quietly. The top got a little warm initially, but not so much now. I did make sure that I had the proper ventilation on the back, sides and top. I would say this is a very good value. However, it does NOT hold 45 bottles, no where near that. We have mostly reds, and you can only get about 24 in the cooler. Your wine bottles have to be more tapered, if you are going to get max capacity from the cooler. The metal shelves are a bit filmsy. The ones near the bottom do not have a stop, so you could easily pull the shelf completely out, and drop the wine if not careful. All things considered, this cooler is a good value for the price.

"I called Vinotemp about a problem I had …"

I called Vinotemp about a problem I had with my 45 bottle EL-45TS cooler that I bought from Costco. The cooler kept on with a popping noise.I talk to NICK. He was NO help at all. Had to call twice which he said he would return my call. He DID NOT return my calls with a solution. Customer service is poor. I had to spend my money for shipping to take the cooler back to costco.

"So far my brand new wine fridge is loud"

So far my brand new wine fridge is extremely loud, louder than my large regular fridge. I'm working with customer service to lock down an appointment for them to come and check on it and it's been 2 weeks still no appointment.
