I purchased a Duel Temp 140 bottle wine fridge in May, 2017. Two months later the system stopped cooling. Customer service said that the repairs would not be covered by warranty because I purchased the unit from a third party store and not a retail store. It is disappointing that they would not stand behind their product.
This unit was purchased new from a liquidation store. The unit was originally purchased by Costco for resale. The fridge was never sold to an end user prior to my purchase. Reguardless of the price I paid for the fridge, this item was sold with all the warranty paperwork included as a new item. I can understand not warranting a used item, but to not honar your product warranty because it was sold to me direct from Costco at a retail price is poor service. I'm dropping my rating to one star for your unprofessional response. Costco purchased this unit from your company for resale. You were prepared to warrant the fridge to the consumer who purchased the wine fridge based on your sale to Costco. Vinotemp did not sell the wine fridge at a loss. Costco is the company who took the loss for the discount store who sold the unit. The price I paid has no barring on the fact that the unit stopped working two moths after I purchase it.
I have had no problem in the past with other manufacturers who honor their product sold through a discount outlet. If I purchase an item that has all the warranty paperwork attached with the sell of the unit, why should I believe there would be any question on merchandise performance and manufacturer warranty. This was not a used product. I tested the unit at the store prior to purchasing it. I called your company and spoke with a sales person and asked questions about the unit prior to my purchase. I made a buying decision based on product reviews and manufacturer name. The store had several brand names to choose from. I decided to select Vinotemp because I believed it was a better product. I realize now that I made the wrong choice based on my experience with Vinotemp customer service and your policy.

a follow up to my unhappiness with Customer Service at Vinotemp. Bought a cooler in April of 2017 that stayed cool for just a few days. Now the middleman/seller of the Vinotemp cooler will not accept the return. And Vinotemp wants to either ship/replace a new cooler and have me pay for shipping the new one to me and to return the broken one back to them, or send me replacement parts so that I can repair their crappy cooler. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, your response is filled with my unprofessional irresponsibility. The freight you want me to pay is over $100 for a $200 cooler. Are you nuts???? And your customer service department told me when the cooler was actually purchased (April 2017), based upon when you sold it to the middleman/reseller. You are digging a deeper hole for your Company by telling more lies!!!!!!!!!

This unit is keeping temp within 1 degree of my settings so very pleased with that. The only negative thing is is that it's a little loud while running.

"Uggh...terrible"
Uggh...terrible. This company has been a nightmare. They literally have done everything wrong, from the inaccurate specs of their products to the poor quality and poorer service. I purchased metal and wood racking that was supposed to ship in a week. After nothing showed up I contacted the company I bought from to ask for an update. Three weeks later I had heard nothing, and the company that sold me the racks was clearly pulling its hair out trying to get answers. Eight weeks after purchase my rack finally showed up. It was not as described, flimsy and inconsistent, and the bottle holes are too small for a good number of my bottles. I would attempt a return / refund but at this point it is clear that Vinotemp is so tone deaf to its customers and so bad at fulfillment that I just don't have the energy to try. Avoid!

"it is beautifully designed"
it is beautifully designed, sleek and elegant, however it is noisy during cooldown. i try to wiggle it gently to quiet it down, which works sometimes, but i figure probably better just to live with it. at first, it only cooled the right-hand side, so i turned it off, then back on, and it cooled both sides. therefore, i am not 100% confident in it yet. overall, i like vinotemp products, which is why i paid up for this unit.

This was our latest purchase of a vinotemp product. We have been very pleased with their wine coolers and cabinets. Our latest purchase was to replace our kitchen wine cooler. It is a very nice unit, cools right down and is very nice looking in our kitchen.
