"BUYER BE AWARE"

Do not fall for these scammers, like my husband and I did. Told us it was going to be a $80 service fee, when the technician showed up, without even looking at the washing machine yet he told my husband it was going to be a $300 “diagnostic fee” in order to see what the issue was. My husband agreed to this fee. He opened up the washing machine and told my husband we needed a new pump which would cost us another $494. My husband came upstairs to check to see what I wanted to do, I just told him we might as well get a new machine. When my husband told the technician this, he told him that the new machines are not as good as the older ones and that our washing machine is one of the better ones. My husband and I agreed to get the new pump to which he told us he had to order in and it would take about 2-3 days to come in.

After the technician left - my husband gave me the invoice to which I saw that my husband had paid the technician $700 up front in cash - with nothing even being fixed!!! At that point I had a gut feeling that we had been scammed. Sure enough, I do some more digging and found hundreds of terrible reviews from others who went through the same process.

I called the company immediately addressing their terrible reviews. The woman on the other end was very rude and ended up hanging up on me. I called back the next day to tell them we do not wish to proceed with getting the pump and that I would like my money back. They told me they could only send a cheque in the mail and it would take up to 10 business days. I called them almost everyday to follow up on this and confront them. I also had them send me everything in writing in an email. After 10 business days when I still had received a cheque I told them I would be taking further action. I filed a police report, to which I was told their company has been flagged already but they are running as a legitimate company. They recommend I report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I waited about a month to follow up with them regarding my cheque to which they informed me the cheque was sent out about a week ago. Due to the Canada Post strike - I had not received it. I finally got the cheque and was able to deposit it. To confirm the cheque was only for the part we told them we were not going to proceed with. We never got our money back for the diagnostic fee.

With ALL of that said. We ended up reaching out to a referral from a family member to come look at our washing machine. He told us nothing was wrong with the actual machine and that the issue was that we were using tide pods and our water lines were not large enough to handle the tide pods. He told us to switch to liquid detergent. Ever since then our washing has been working perfectly. He only charged us $70.

"We just got scammed by the fraudulent A…"

We just got scammed by the fraudulent A Team Appliance Repair company. Initially, we agreed to pay an $80 technician dispatch fee to address our non-working electric stove oven. However, the technician hadn’t even inspected the oven when he claimed it would cost $300 to diagnose and repair it. He then told us we needed a new board, quoting $486 + tax for the part—on top of the $300 repair fee.
When we said we’d purchase the board elsewhere, he warned us against it, saying there would be no warranty and that Amazon parts were unreliable. Without doing any repairs, and after just a few minutes, he handed us a bill for $327 for essentially nothing. When I questioned the cost, he dismissed my concerns, saying that was simply the price.
When we asked whether it would be better to buy a new appliance, he discouraged us claiming new appliances weren’t as good as older models. It seemed like a ploy to pressure us into costly repairs. We hope he did not tamper with the appliance further.
They only accept cash or debit, leaving us no recourse to recover our money.

"Not transparent, very costly"

Not transparent, and costs way too much. They quoted me $80 to do the inspection but on arrival demanded up front payment for of $280 to do the work. Then they quoted me $470 for parts, which was not worth it. I can get a brand new microwave for less.

"highly disrespectful people. I wish I could give them a bigg zero"

Only if there was a way to give a zero star. I booked an appointment yesterday and they said they have one of the best technician in my area but he is only available 11 to 2pm today, to which I agreed because the issue was with my Cooking range and I had to get it fixed. I cancelled my doctor's appointment giving this priority and the next day as I was waiting, I called them around 1pm and they said the tech guy will take time and now your appointment is moved to 2 to 5 pm to which I responded that why wasn't I informed. I would not have knowed if I had not call them. The lady on the phone was so rude that she said it's your stove you need the service so you need to wait for the technician. To which I said yes I m ready to wait but the company must inform. She was so rude that she said it is not our job to inform and we did not came to your door knocking if you need our services, you came to us.! I was seriously shocked. she was not letting me speak, she simply said if you want this appointment this is it or otherwise we can cancel. This was such a mental unrest so after thinking through a while I called them back after 30 mins and cancelled the appointment giving the exact reason why I'm cancelling and I am so glad I did it. I was not ready to deal with a bunch disrespectful rude people who do not know how to talk to another person, customer is another thing. And this was just the 1st step, not sure what was to come after.
I'm anyhow paying for the job to be done so why this deal with this shit. Any other company can do the work for money and still be respectful. I digged in deep and started to read so many negative reviews and I thank myself for cancelling it in time. Im so sure I may have been scammed with money too if I had continued with this company.

"These people are scammers"

These people are scammers. Prepared to pay 3 times the amount of any other repair company. They demand money up front when they only arrive to do an estimate. Do nothing and then want to come back with a part which takes 10 days or more. A bunch of crooks

"SCAMERS"

SCAMERS. Please avoid these people by all means. 20 min. of doing nothing cost me $300.00 and stove was left untouched. There is no Company, they only using Cell Phones, I was not aware, Never again, arrogant, disrispectfull to eldery. These people needs to be stopped by the law. No more and no stars.

"Stay Away!"

If you don’t want to get ripped off, avoid this company at all costs! They trick customers out of their hard-earned money through downright shady practices. It seems that my experience is just one of many that show how lousy their practices are

I needed a simple dishwasher fix. Their technician, Sam, charged a huge fee just to unscrew a panel, which took him barely a few minutes. He then tried to manipulate me into buying a new part for hundreds of dollars more, claiming it was necessary. Turns out, the part he wanted to replace wasn’t even broken!

The real issue was something minor that didn’t need any additional parts. It could have been fixed on the spot with a simple and cheap fix. The technician refused to fix it on the spot and instead pushed for a costly part I didn’t need, making it clear they’re all about squeezing as much money as they can out of their customers.

When I complained, their response was just as bad, completely dodging the real issue. There are loads of complaints against them, and even the Better Business Bureau has them on the radar. Don't use this company unless you want to throw your money away.

"Way too expensive!"

Way too expensive! Their website makes it look like they are the official Electrolux service provider, but they are not. I should have confirmed that before making the appointment. I would have gone with Jiffy repair service instead and saved some cash.

Also Electrolux would likely have a more customer friendly cost structure.

"This is a SCAM company!!"

These people are professional scammers!!! I don't even think they are a company! The address is fake! They are not a brick and mortar company! They are simply using their cell phones! That's why they don't take Credit cards, only Cash and Debit! They are a bunch of criminals from India! They are going to be dealt with after my experience, because I'm not allowing people like this to come to Canada and think it's just fine to run around and scam and rip off Canadians! They are liars, and cheaters! I won't go into the whole story, because the Police are involved, but they said the replaced a part in my appliance through it on the floor, like he just removed it. This guy kept looking over he shoulder and I knew something wasn't right. Turns out the part he left behind, claiming he took it out was not a "factory part" it was a broken after market part! What's interesting about this is my appliance was purchased Brand New from Leon's and never had anything replaced! So this guy committed Fraud! He overcharged hugely for a part and never changed anything! So in fact I paid a rediculios bill and my appliance is not fixed correctly but temporarily going to seem like it's working! Then when it quits again, they are expecting I will call back and complain, then they will come out and charge their trumped up labour charge once again! They need to be dealt with and shut down immediately!
