The A Team Appliance Repair

"Criminals "
The motor on my washing machine went and the technician convinced me to let them repair it by promising it would be in and fixed in a day or 2. They charged me $1000 and still haven’t come back to fix it. It’s been over a week. The woman who works in the office is extremely rude and lies about how long the repair will take. They’ll steal your money and not do your repair.

"Worst appliance repair experience ever!"
This company is not deserving of 1 star but it is not possible to put an integer. If I could, I'd give it -5. That's the only way this company gets a 5. Our fridge stopped working on a Friday. They were quick to send a technician on Saturday to check it out. Long and the short of it, tech said it needed 2 parts, which he would order and install. We paid 50%.
On Monday after calling to check if the parts were at least ordered, I was told they would arrive in a day or two. On Thursday I call again ( since Customer Service never calls you) and they say they can install the following Monday. When I tell them the parts should be there so why would I wait until Monday they put me on hold for 5 minutes and then tell me the tech will come the following day.
Needless to say, the tech shows up (late) and says oops wrong part. We are now going on week 2 without a fridge and no information as to when it will be repaired. We have no idea if part was ordered, no info from customer service-- basically no service at all.
The lack of service and information is absolutely disgusting. The last time I spoke with Customer Service ( which is a joke since they don't care about customers) was Monday and they have not reached out with any answers or timeline. I don't know how they are still in business. My husband did not do his homework and check the reviews before calling them. Do yourselves a favour and learn from our mistake. Steer clear of this company unless you are looking for frustration and disappointment.

"This is a scam"
This is a scam, do not use them. They charged me $300 to look at my dryer for about 10min then told me the part that needed to be replaced was $890. That is the same price as a new dryer! I didn’t pay for the part and looked it up after you can order the part for just $70. This business should be shut down.

"Microwave"
My Microwave had an issue. They charged me $80 to come, which is fine. Then a technician said I should service it first, then tell you the issue. He charged me extra $155. Then replaced a $3 jumper. After 2–3 days the issue came back, and he said we will charge you, if we come again. I emailed to their manager, and they accepted to come and check it for free. He came and said it should be from the part which is over $700, while I google it and found out that part is only $50 to $60.

"It is a Scam"
I booked a refrigerator repair with Appliances Repair Team, and it was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. The technician showed up on Sunday and was extremely rude right from the start. After a quick inspection, he told me that the controller wasn't sending signals to the compressor but confidently claimed the issue was completely repairable. He said that after his service, the refrigerator would be cooling just fine within 24 hours.
He finished whatever he did in under 30 minutes, barely explaining anything, and before leaving, he added that if the issue happens again, I should call LG customer service—but insisted that the fridge would be fine. He charged me $367 including taxes, and left.
Fast forward 24 hours—nothing changed. The fridge still wasn’t cooling. I called their customer service, and now they tell me I need a new compressor. Excuse me? If the technician had told me this in the first place, I wouldn’t have wasted nearly $400 on a “repair” that didn’t fix anything!
This is totally unfair and dishonest. Either the technician had no clue what he was doing or intentionally misled me just to make a quick buck. Either way, this is not acceptable. I feel completely ripped off and will never use this service again. Save your money and go directly to your appliance manufacturer’s service instead.

"Technicians dishonestly told me that…"
Technicians dishonestly told me that they could fix my issue and charged me $330 for the service, even though $80 was the advertised price for the service call. After the service was complete, they told me that the the repair was not possible and quoted me replacement part that was more expensive than a new fridge. I would not recommend their services.

"Booked an appointment online"
Booked an appointment online, I was called and informed the initial visit would be $80 which would be apply against the repair if I proceed with the work.
The Technician arrived at my home and proceeded to listen to the problem and told me he could fix it by adjusting the rotational system, so I agreed and paid him $327.
He took the panel off and looked at it for 10 minutes without doing anything and told us we needed a new Starter. He quoted $500 for the part. I told him it was not worth it, seeing a brand-new fridge is $1000
I asked them to refund some of the $327 seeing he did nothing, he refused and said I would have to speak to head office.
I called the home office and complained, there was no satisfaction, and some lady Sonia ask if I want to go ahead , when i ask why your technician didn't tell me in advance that part could be that costly. she put us on hold and disconnect phone without any notice. then I call them , their manager Alex started blaming me why you yell at Sonia . i was like really?
i tried leaving review on their site and select 1 star they posted as 5 stars.

He took the panel off and looked at it for 10 minutes without doing anything and told us we needed a new transmission. He quoted $500 for the transmission. I told him it was not worth it, seeing a brand-new washer was only $800.00.
I asked him to refund some of the $327 seeing he did nothing, he refused and said I would have to speak to head office.
I called the home office and complained, there was no satisfaction, and she asked me if I would like to proceed with the repair, now the transmission was $1400. I told her this was totally unreasonable, and their service was a scam and hung up.

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL…"
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!
When I called about the uneven flame on my stove, they told me it would cost $80 just to diagnose the problem. However, when the technician arrived, he told me l'd have to pay $320 plus tax to investigate further! I refused to pay that amount, and he charged me $80 plus tax just for showing up.
I then consulted ChatGPT and learned that the issue could be a clogged gas nozzle. I cleaned it with a brush and fixed the problem myself! The technician was trying to charge me over $300 for a minor issue!
