Took out accident cover for over one year. When our dog had an accident, the claim was declined. Very quick to take policy money each month but non-existent to help protect the health of your pet. PD Pet Insurance are the only ones benefiting from your bank account. Be WARNED: they are not the quality pet insurance they claim to be! Cancelled policy with immediate effect!

I've had my cat insured with PD for the past four years. She was recently very sick and had a five-day stay at the vet with loads of tests and treatment needed. I lodged a claim with PD as soon as I made the payment as it was quite a sum (over $2000) and was quite nervous about having to wait. However, I received a reply from their claims consultant, Mallory, and had the money back in my account by the very next day. Honestly, very impressed and would highly recommend.

"Best thing I have ever done"
I have had a policy for Gampa-Blue (cat) and Gina-Jean's (dog) for 3 years now. I have NEVER ever battled with a single claim. It was the BEST thing I every did with insuring my fur-babies with them. (even better than getting married🤣). I email my claim at 3.00pm and by 6.00pm I have the money in my account. You CANNOT get any better than that!!!!

"PD Pet Insurance is Excellent"
I have had a few claims unfortunately due to two very active dogs. The experience of my claims has been faultless. In most cases claims settled within day, I think the latest I’ve waited is a week. The process is straightforward and communications fantastic. I love the seamless process and the follow-up calls for longer problems to check on our dogs progress on the problem.
Continue doing what you are doing, I appreciate the awesome service and cover.

Highly recommend PD Pet Insurance, NZ. We've made three claims in the last three years, each claim was been paid out within 24 hours. Excellent communication, friendly professional customer service and easy to use online account. Definitely 5 stars from me.

"Not happy "
The last two times we’ve made claims, the claim has included multiple vet visits and invoices, amounting to large sums of money. Both times we’ve had to chase the PD team multiple times to get them to actually pay the proper amount back, as they’ve only paid one invoice (this time they said via email ‘we are happy to let you know that your claim has been accepted’ and paid me back $27), when the total amount actually came to over 5k - money I didn’t have and really needed repaid with urgency. It took around three months to get my money back the first time, and this time we’re up to weeks. It takes a lot to get everything together to send to them, and I don’t have time on top of all the stress of trying to look after a very sick animal and work full time, to have to keep following up and re-explaining the issue to every new person who answers the phone.
If PD fixed their website so that the ‘add more to this claim’ function actually worked, it would be a lot easier to manage a claim from both ends. I don’t like leaving negative feedback, and have stayed with this company even after the first experience a year ago, but feedback is the only way people know what’s going on and hopefully this will give them an opportunity to change things.

"Excellent Customer Service"
My claim was dealt with very quickly with same day turnaround. The staff member I dealt with (Nomathemba Malgas) was personable and very informative. They were able to answer all of my questions and even called me back to update me on the status of my claim. Excellent customer service : - )
