"Rip off"

If you write them to cancel your contract before auto renewal you might want to send it certified. We got screwed and did that but they never received it and now its on our credit report. System hasn't even worked in ages. What a rip off.

"Beware Guardian does not stand by their work"

We hired Guardian to install our security system at our Washington, DC, business. The service and quality of the work was horrible. We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. We have offices in five markets across the US and have high security at each; we have never had such a poor experience.

"Subpar equipment with shortest warranty in industry (90 days)"

Have been a customer with Guardian for 20 years. Just got off a chat with their customer support agent "Abby" and they destroyed all the goodwill they built up. We just upgraded our system and signed a new 5-year contract. Part of the system was a doorbell video camera. This was installed on 8/2/2024; it died 3 days ago, 11/24/24. Guardian wants to charge me a $75 fee + $35 per 15 minutes + parts to have a technician come to my house and repair or replace it. Because they only warranty their equipment for 90 days, and mine expired on 10/31/24. So technically, they are in the right, but a $275 video doorbell that dies after 4 months and they want to charge you for it is garbage customer service. By the way, you can buy this on Amazon for $225, so they are adding a huge markup. Ring, Google Nest, and Blink video doorbells all have a 1-year warranty. This is just embarrassing for them. Anyway, the company knows its products are subpar, which is why they have the shortest warranty in the industry. I highly recommend you steer clear of this company (you can see by their 2.42/5 rating that many others feel the same).

"Original house owner paid 1 month after…"

Original house owner paid 1 month after we moved in. It was cancelled and never used. They then send a letter 3 months in threatning collection. Alarm was never used. Scam if ever makes no sense.

"I have had some many false alarms this…"

I have had some many false alarms this devise does not work for me they have sent me three devises and it still is sending false alarms to my family, I am not happy and can’t cancel it and it is costing me $50 a month.

"Extremely Angry"

I've waited for over a week to have a Service Technician come out to change batteries in my fire alarm only to receive an email the day of the scheduled appointment to say the Service Technician would not be available to come out to change the batteries and that they'd TRY to find a Sub Contractor and get back to me in 24-48 hours. Apparently customers in WNY don't deserve the level of service as others since Guardian only has one Service Technician to cover WNY. Terrible Service for long-term customer.

"I wanted to cancel my service and I was…"

I wanted to cancel my service and I was told I had a contract that wasn't up until the end of this years. I have been with Guardian since the mid 1990. I don't ever remember signing a contract. I am a retired widow and am trying to cut some of my expenses so my grandson installed the ring alarm system for me. Guardian can change there wording of their contracts but I can't cancel. I paid my bill a year in advance so I could save a little money. I would not ever recommend paying in advance. They have your money and they don't care about you. A 70 plus senior citizen living on Social Security.

"New review based on incredible service"

I had previously written a review regarding Guardian and their service. However, I would like to remove that review and post this new one.

Guardian came out to our home today and the technician was probably the best we had ever had.

His name was Anthony.

He reset all of our sensors And he reconnected the breakage equipment and he fixed the panel and gave us a good course on how to use our system, which we really did not even know.
so I would give Guardian at this time a five star review. We appreciate them coming to solve this problem for us .
