"Good service value"

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip in a couchette from Utrecht to Berlin. Staff was superb, sheets were clean, bathrooms were cramped but clean, bedding was clean and comfortable, onboard menu had a small but good drink and food selection (prior to the dining car running on this route), breakfast box had a great variety. Downsides were that the window in our room didn’t open, so it was quite stuffy before we started moving enough to really drop the temperature; beds are a bit hard, and too short for my height at 190 cm (although I could sleep well on my side); and the car was clearly getting up there in age (window didn’t open, certain signs and interior paint were worn, car had clearly seen better days). Overall, very good value for money, and the company is clearly putting a lot of effort into making the experience a pleasant one. I look forward to traveling onboard again.

"Ik heb nog nooit zo (piep) geslapen!"

Ik heb nog nooit zo (piep) geslapen! Waar je op ligt, is keihard. Kussen die je krijgt stelt niks voor. Geen airco. En de stopcontacten deden het niet, dus telefoon opladen kon niet. Wij hadden de treinreis geboekt met ontbijt, maar het ontbijt wordt s'nachts rond een uurtje of 1 op de grond gezet en succes ermee de volgende ochtend.

"Old train, but okay to travel sustainable and without stress"

The train was old and the 5-person couches quite tight, but the beds were okay once installed. The ride was bumpy and the train stopped quite a few times, so I did not sleep very well (but my companian did, so it is very personal). Staff was nice and approachable. The travel time between Utrecht and Berlin could be shortened, because we first drove to Maarssen, stopped there for technical reasons (without opening doors) and arrived at Utrecht an hour later again. Also in Germany, there were some unnecessary stops, since Berlin was the first option to leave the train.

"I went from Usti nad Labem to Utrecht…"

I went from Usti nad Labem to Utrecht for first time. Since they didn't have best couches anymore, I bought the cheapest ticket. The compartment was full of different people and I didn't feel comfortable. The train was 40 min late.
Back I had couches - the best option was again not available. I had a women-only compartment. The trains are old, it was dirty and most importantly, the compartments were cold. It's already heating season in the Czech Republic, even the trains are heated. I couldn't sleep because of the cold, and I was wearing my coat...so it was disappointing because I had read an article recommending Eurosleeper (but there they went with the most uncomfortable option, which was not available). The train was 70 min late.

"We konden het raam niet normaal openen"

We konden het raam niet normaal openen. We moesten er met 2 man aanhangen. De stekkerdoos laden onze MOB niet op. Er zou iemand langs komen maar niet gebeurd. WC was ronduit goor. Jammer we betalen veel geld voor een privé coupé maar de service en reinheid viel zwaar tegen.

"it's quite a long ride"

it's quite a long ride! going from Prague to Brussels took 17 hrs which is just too long to take a sleeper train instead of a flight. There are too many stops in between IMO. I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra for a hotel-like experience (which you skip going overnight, right?).

"Female couchette"

I booked a female couchette, I was traveling with my 3years old daughter, from Dredsen back to NL. It is nice to have a courgettes is only for female. I saw the train stop at Deventer, which close to my parents-in-law house. But few days before boarding date, I got a email that they are not going to stop there on that day, change it to Utrecht....I need to travel with my little one change 2 times train to go to my parents-in-law. If I got the mail easier,,even just 10 days before...I would cancel the ticket get 50% refund. But it's too late. Other than that the upper bed is really hard to sleep.. I feeling I was lying on a pice of stone. Other than that is great. Staff on the train are very helpful and friendly,,that make me feeling less stressed. And also have one free bottle of water for each passenger,, it's very sweet.

"Great to have nighttrains again!"

First of all, the initiative of the european sleeper company to relaunch international night train services cannot be praised enough. The staff people were friendly and polite on our trip, but didn't explain nor help anything with the downfolding of the couches and installing the ladder.
The couchettes were clean and comfy - and we loved the oldfashioned cars with windows to be opened by hand.
Unfortunately 50 % of the toilets were out of use, what was resulting in inacceptable waiting times.
Dining car is a very good feature, the coffee being served was high quality.
For eurosleeper, we wish successful future development and are looking forward to introducing new connections.
