"Nooit meer"

We zaten in een coupé met 4. Coupé is verouderd, deur ging niet goed dicht en de gordijnen hingen er losjes aan. Het was er ook warm, de airco werkte niet. De toiletten waren echt niet proper en na een uur of 3 was het echt vuil.

We zaten ook naast mensen die besloten hadden om een feestje te houden. We hebben paar keer personeel aangesproken omdat we toch graag wilden slapen maar dat heeft niet geholpen. We hebben tot 3 uur 's nachts klaarwakker gelegen. Ook mensen op de gang die gsm oplaadden en die 's nachts belden. Er was niemand van het personeel te bespeuren.

Het enige positieve is dat we oprecht blij waren dat we rond 6 uur in Berlijn aankwamen .. maar voor ons nooit meer.

"Poor experience, would never use again"

We booked a private sleeper from Berlin to Amsterdaam. 4 days before our trip, the end stop was changed from Amsterdam to Utrecht. 3 days before our trip, we were downgraded from a private sleeper to a shared couchette. We found out this was common on the train, as it took half an hour to get into our room due to the confusion of everyone else who was downgraded. It has now been over a month, and we still have not received the promised 50% refund for this. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because the train was on time, which is shocking considering how poor the service is otherwise.

"A mixed experience "

Liked: sleeping on a moving train is always fun! I didn't notice the train stopping or being shunted, both of which happened during our journey.

Comfortable bunks.

Florian and Hannah were both friendly and cheerful. They both appreciated the journey was far from ideal.

Dislikes: only one out of three toilets was working and that one smelled like a cow shed.

No running water in the berths despite having sinks.

As this is a new service, I'd expected a new train but they are using some very old rolling stock. I didn't mind but would have liked to have known in advance, I would have managed my expectations bit better.

The food was disappointing but that might have just been my preference as other diners cleared their plates.

"Une nuit de cauchemard"

Nous avions un lit couchette pour 2 d'Amsterdam a Prague pour 199€/pers. Quelques jours avant le départ, la gare de départ à Amsterdam Central a été changée pour une gare de banlieue (40mn du centre) sans aucune salle d'attente ou autre endroit pour attendre au chaud avec un départ à 22h35. Pensez-y pour les mois froids. Je comprends que c'est un changement de routine pour European sleeper. L'ensemble des trains est très vieux et en mauvais état et propreté à revoir. Les lits étaient propres mais celui du haut n'ayant pas la taille requise, le matelas est prolongé par une simple couverture au niveau (sous) des pieds. C'est assez ridicule. Nous n'avions pas d'eau au lavabo et après le départ, le chauffage s'est éteint remplacé par une climatisation "froide". Vers le matin, le steward nous a proposé des places assises dans un compartement libre et chauffé. Notre compartiment était le premier du wagon et les portes reliant l'autre wagon étant ouvertes, nous avions beaucoup beaucoup de bruit. Une seule prise disponibke et pas de wifi. Le train bouge beaucoup, aucune stabilité, aucun comfort. Le petit déjeuner est un + (jus de fruit, boisson chaude, yaourt et muesli, pain de mie avec nutella et beurre-confiture, encas salés) mais c'est le seul. Nous voulions voyager écologique mais le rapport qualité-prix d'European sleeper est totalement inadmissible. Nous avions eu une expérience de train couchette en Finlande pour un service qualité-propreté et modernité au top pour 6x moins cher alors que c'est un pays bien plus cher qu'en Europe! Nous ne recommandons pas European sleeper. Même une startup ne peut pas proposer un prix si haut pour un service si bas en 2024 (service équivalent Europe centrale fin années 80).

"Brussels to praha"

The train was almost full and obviously got a bit cramped over the course of a 16 hour journey, but the staff were friendly and helpful and it was great to see so many of Europe's cities through the night.
It was annoying that the alarm went off for about half an hour at midnight, but the announcer had repeatedly warned passengers over the speaker system not to smoke or spray deodorant.
Overall a good experience and hope to use it again sometime in the future.

"Oude trein met vele gebreken"

Een coupon die niet kon afgesloten worden langs binnen, waardoor dit niet veilig aanvoelde. Overal op de trein veel te warm - het leek wel of de verwarming helemaal open stond. Kletterende deuren en piepende scharnieren die maakten dat je geen oog dicht deed... niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

"Friendly and fun adventure on October…"

Friendly and fun adventure on October 21 from Brussels to Prague with good views along the way. Left right on time and kept good time through the cities we stopped in. Train was definitely a quirky mix of carriages but sleeper was well designed and clean, dining car and food were good, and staff were exceptional especially Hannah, Thibeau (Tibo?), and the catering staff. Especially impressed to chat with the young staff and hear of their enthusiasm for this sustainable mode of transport. The one negative was that at least half of the toilets I encountered were very smelly and/or dirty. Recommend staff clean them at least hourly and deal with the smell. Definitely recommend and kudos to the European Sleeper team.

"An experience that leaves much to be desired"

It was a good option to travel by night, however the bathrooms were dirty and very smelly, and the couches were not clean as well. Overall it was a good solution for us taking in mind that we didn’t want to take a plane, nevertheless I expected a much higher quality of the trip since it wasn’t cheap.

"Trotz der alten Züge"

Trotz der alten Züge, ist es ein gutes, angenehmes und freundliches Reisen.
Beim Buchen der Tickets, möchten wir gern die Liegeplätze aussuchen. Da wir etwas älter sind, möchten wir gern im 5 Abteil die Seite mit der 2 Liegeplätze buchen. Wir hoffen, das diese Zuglinie noch lange bestehen bleibt, da wir Familie in Rotterdam haben und so gut und ohne Umstieg von Dresden reisen können. Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße Ulrike Mende
