Travel with less CO2 is an opportunity but it's not confortable, beds & wagon are in bad condition. The curtains don't hold, etc... Also, we didn't have a wagon restaurant, shame because we enjoyed to travel by train by night.

"A kind of disappointing standard"

I hope this is just the beginning of a new era for night trains in Europe, but there is a whole lot of a room for improvement. The train staff was very friendly and nice in every way, which of course was on the positive side. I had booked a whole cabin, because I wanted to have somewhere to relax after a long day in Berlin. Even taking that into consideration, the price was extremely high. Maybe ES can modernise their trains in the future as well. There are several things that could have been better: The cabin door couldn't be closed properly. That combined with the fact that there was just a curtain with which I could cover the corridor windows, it felt like I didn't really get the privacy I was hoping for. In the cabin, there really weren't any beds, because I was sleeping on regular train seats with one bed sheet made to a sleeping bag and a blanket. I had booked the trip in some kind of comfort class, but it didn't feel like there was that much actual comfort. There were functioning toilets on the train, but they, too, felt quite dated. But there sure is potential here, and I do hope that the night train standard in Europe is made gradually better in the years to come.

"Disappointing "

I was looking forward to the sleeper train experience but I was really disappointed. I chose this since the trip from Berlin to Brussels would have been 6 hours plus anyway, and I figured I could use this time for sleeping. But once I got in the train, I saw it was outdated and quite old. I was in a cabin with five girls, which was nice but my 'bed' was on the top of the cabin, which was quite uncomfortable and so so high. I think they should retain this option entirely, the rooms are so small that 4 people should be the maximum otherwise its horrible. The 'bed' was really just a laid down seat with just one sheet and a blanket. I couldn't fall asleep the whole trip as it was too high, and I had to go to the bathroom at one point but impossible to go down while the train was moving. First and last time I take this.

Everything worked for my girlfriend and I when we went from Brussels to Berlin, the toilets were clean, the water was running, and the train was on time, so there were no problem whatsoever and we arrived fully rested in Berlin, ready to take on the city ! I would just recommend to bring your own earplugs and face mask to ensure proper sleep. If the ticket price was cheaper I would take this train much more often ! Please ES if you are reading this, it would be great to have the option to choose which bed you sleep on in the cabin when you make the reservation)

"Slechtse organisatie ooit"

Wat een domper. Bij vertrek uit Roosendaal al 2 uur vertraging. Bleek om machinale storing te gaan. Onderweg te horen gekregen dat de hoop er was dat het in Duitsland beter zou gaan. 4 uur stil gestaan zonder enige info. Alles koud en deed het niet meer. Gevolg boordevolle toiletten. In Praag aangekomen om 19.00 ipv 11.00 hele dag weg.
Op klachten reageren beide organisaties laconiek.
Wordt joviaal 20% korting aangeboden op je volgende boeking. Dit is geen korting maar een bijbetaling van 80%.
Zal hier zeker geen gebruik van gaan maken.
Verwacht geen reactie hierop van european sleeper gezien het feit dat ze alleen reageren op positieve revieuws.

"I don't get the negative reviews"

I don't get the negative reviews, the staff can't do anything when a wagon is broken down. They try to make the situation better in everyway with their kindness. Everything has its time so we as passengers should be more understanding when something negative happens. Thank you for all the kindness European Sleeper crew!

"Verschrikkelijk!"

We zouden rond 23.55 vertrekken vanuit station Deventer en rond 10.00 uur in Praag arriveren. 2 uur in vertraging gehad in Deventer, ik en mijn 3 kinderen hebben 2 uur in de kou moeten wachten en dat is niet leuk midden in de nacht. Om dit te voorkomen had ik die avond nog bijtijds geïnformeerd bij de firma of er vertraging was. Toen de trein er eenmaal was vonden we de trein erg oud en oncomfortabel. De "bedden" erg hard en vooral erg koud in de coupé. De airco stond op volle toeren en verwarming deed het niet. Ben blij dat ik extra dekens van huis mee had. Het beddengoed wat je krijgt is een hele dunne kussen met een fleece dekentje en een lakentje voor op het bedbankje.Toen we net over de grens in Duitsland waren kreeg de trein een technische storing en hebben we bijna 7 uur stilgestaan!!! Het was een ramp..
We wisten niet wat er gebeurde want we werden niet geïnformeerd. Het was ook verschikkelijk koud omdat niets werkte. Daarbij is onze hele dag verpest omdat we pas tegen de avond arriveerden in Praag. Ik zit nu op de terug weg naar Nederland en gelukkig geen vertraging tot nu toe. Weer werkt de kachel niet. Ik zal blij zijn als we weer thuis zijn, en doe dit nooit weer al geven ze geld toe. Met 1 woord verschikkelijk!

Vendredi départ de Bruxelles avec une heure de retard
Problème a la locomotive.
Mais on part Quand même et nous mettons ainsi 7 h de plus a arriver
Arrivé a Prague passer 17 h . Au lieu de 10
Mon weekend devient un jour.
Bien cher pour un jour
Pas assez a manger avec nous on a reçu une mandarine et un pain au chocolat Super pour dîner !
C'est donc complètement lessivée que j'arrive en WE.
Retour dimanche 3h de retard aussi
je suis dans le même compartiment qu a l aller sans chauffage ( il allait deja pas a l'aller mais on a Rien fait )
Je me plains plein de fois mais apres 2 h sans solution la proposition est de me déplacer dans un compartiment déjà bondé jusqu'à a Berlin puis changer selon les disponibilités... Le train n'affiche pourtant pas complet un écriteau affiche lits libre sur l'avant du train mais bien sûr on préfère les garder pour une vente de dernière minute plutôt que de s'occuper de moi correctement.
Bref je retourne dans mon froid ou au moins les gens de me regarde pas de travers car j'utilise leur air. Mais en même temps je les comprends on est déjà tellement serré.

A côté de vous des gens ne faisant qu'une partie du trajet font la fête. Car il ne pensent pas a mettre les Gens qui font la nuit complète ensemble. Vous aurez donc droit au aller retour sans cesse et le train s'arrête souvent très souvent.
Toilette bouchée a partir de minuit
Deuxième wc pas de papier
Et je ne parle pas encore de l'inconfort Total de ce qui va être votre lit même assis c'est douleurs absolu.

"Ten halve gekeerd"

Het is allemaal oude rommel. Daar kan ik nog wel mee leven, als het functioneert. We zouden om 21.22 uur vertrekken uit Rotterdam, dat werd twee uur later.
Na Amsterdam ben ik in slaap gevallen en toen ik om 6 uur 's ochtends wakker werd waren we ... in Bad Bentheim (net over de grens met NL). Ik had verwacht in Berlijn te zijn De trein reed niet meer en inderdaad niets deed het behalve het licht. Dat zou na de grens beter worden, had de steward beloofd. Da's niet gelukt.
We zouden nu in het gunstigste geval om 17 uur in Praag aankomen (na 20 uur reizen), om dan 24 uur later weer in de trein te stappen naar NL.
We hebben er voor gekozen om ten halve te keren en niet ten hele te dwalen. We waren drie uur later thuis.
Dit doen we niet meer! Je mag van mij best geld verdienen, maar lever een deugdelijk product. Ga je schamen!
