"A serious lack of facilities"
My wife and I travelled on the European Sleeper Brussels to Prague 23/24 October and returned on 31/1 November.
We paid a total of 956 euros, a considerable amount of money.
We were shocked by a number of serious problems on the outward journey.
1) Our compartment did not have hot or cold water for the washing basin.
2) The male toilet on the carriage was out of order for the whole trip.
3) The female toilet had no toilet paper to start with and frequently ran out of paper during the trip.
For the return trip 8 days later we imagined that these problems would have been rectified.
To our even greater distress neither 1) or 2) had been repaired.
Re. 3) there was now plenty of toilet paper but the state of the toilet when we first went on board was filthy (it had clearly not been cleaned). Our very nice steward then later cleaned it himself. Praise must go to the stewards on both trips who were clearly embarrassed by the state of the carriage and tried their very best.

"Good, but blankets leave wanting"
Overall a pleasant ride. But the blankets are really too small and too thin. I was happy I packed a good sweater etc., I would have frozen otherwise.

"No blankets, no water and 3 hours of delay"
I travelled from Berlin to Brussels during cold November days in a couchette:
- There were no blankets left (I asked the train crew), so unfortunately I had to use my coat as a blanket and was cold all night.
- There were no water bottles, meaning we had no access to any drinkable water for more than 12 hours.
- No live updates on delay, so at Berlin Hbf, we were left to wait in the freezing cold for an hour, with changing/erroneous information regarding platform number and expected delay.
- I arrived with 3 hours of delay.
I will not travel again with this train operator.

"Everything worked as it should"
Everything worked as it should. The train left on time and arrived in Brussels only a little late. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding very clean.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

"Lack of staff"
The service that we were able to receive was great. There needs to be more attendants work the entire length of the trip from Brussels to Prague. Breakfast was late and no additional coffee to purchase so to lack of staff.

"No water in my room"
No water in my room. No electricity. Train was an hour late leaving the origin station with no credible explanation. Train failed to make up any lost time, connection to Eurostar failed for a dozen people, and with that, connections to trains in UK.
Given the price, I could have: a) stayed in a nice hotel, b) fly to my destination, c) bought lots of offsetting.
