"GLS lost my parcel and then lost the…"

GLS lost my parcel and then lost the replacement. Customer service is mostly nice but absolutely useless and powerless.
8 business days to bring a parcel from the EU to IE is a joke.

Edit: I was then able to speak with some good customer support and they ensured I received my (second) parcel before I left the country.
The first package that was lost was then delivered to me out of nowhere 3 months after the expected delivery date.

My parcel was due to be delivered 13-12-2023. The tracking shows it was delivered but I did not recieve parcel. Contacted gls and was told they cant contact driver directly and he would contact me within three days. Dreadful service, I just want to know where my parcel is.
AVOID THIS COURIER AT ALL COSTS.

Update: parcels were sent, delivered except for 1, receiver has contacted gls, 1 parcel out of 8 is officially lost, officially lost! How is that even possible with tracking numbers!!! Some things have value other than money. Very upset. People, really,just stay away!
Not trustworthy at all. Had to wait for them to come and collect parcels few days in a row, and they said that courier came but there was nobody home! Lies, lies.. Not efficient at all! People, choose another company, maybe pay more, but you will have no headache.

There was an issue with the address on my package, and the courier went above and beyond to solve a problem which was caused by the sender.

"DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE"

Seller and customer both in same county! GLS picked up the small parcel 5 days ago. Email & phone call to GLS to stress DO NOT leave parcel with neighbor. I took the day off work, waited in the entire day. No delivery. Rang customer service to be told parcel with the neighbor downstairs (who had it sold within an hour). Driver never even came to my door, text or phone call. Ring camera to prove it. Do not buy from sellers who use this company. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

"Worst courier service"

Worst courier service in Ireland, and the competition is high. Waiting 3 days for a parcel to be picked up. Customer Services confirms each of the 3 days that it will be collected. Even reassuring that the manager has been informed. Do not use this company under any circumstances, it is just a joke

Paid for most expensive Courier. Spain to Ireland Door to Door - 7 days.
Spent 4 days going from Spain to Germany where it sat for a few days.
Went to Ireland and sat in two or three parcel centres.
No idea when it will be delivered maybe after 10 or 11 days at best? NO response to "contact us" email.
Second time GLS has let me down 100% fail record. Avoid at all costs. Use an An Post affiliated courier. Great service.

Update. I’ve located the parcel and GLS tell no idea when this “priority” parcel will be delivered. So I will drive 100’s kms to pick it up from a depot where It’s been for two days and will be another three or four priority days. Total incompetence. Joke of a courier. Only use if mentally incapacitated and don’t really want the parcel anyway 😡

"Terrible service"

Terrible service. Get rid of the estimated delivery date because that's off by days if not weeks. It doesn't matter if its local or international. Just useless. I won't be dealing with companies that use this delivery service. Its crap!!!

"I wanted to thank the delivery driver…"

I wanted to thank the delivery driver who dropped off a package yesterday. My friends and I are all agreed that we’ve got so used to parcels just being dumped, the driver yesterday really stood out. He rang while I was in the doctors so I couldn’t answer, he then sent a text to say he’d left it in the porch. All normal so far but when I got home he’d gone to the trouble of hiding the box under my partners work boots and THEN sent a text at about 6pm asking if I’d got the parcel - WOW! Don’t let him go!!
