"First of all we had a set price"

First of all we had a set price. While halfway to destination price went up! Second your truck leaked badly....five different places all my stuff was soaked and damage..I want cost for damages!! Or I'm taking you to Court!!! Do not recommend in anyway!!

"I wish I could give zero stars"

I wish I could give zero stars! This was the worst experience! I moved long distance. U-pack used a third party to deliver my relo-cubes to my new house. The driver jackknifed his trailer trying to back in my driveway and had to be towed. He took our cubes with him and we never heard from either U-pack OR the third party company about when I would get my delivery. I had to keep calling both companies only to be told “we’re waiting to hear from the other company”. I was finally told that they WOULD NOT deliver them to my house and I would have to rent a U-haul and drive to the warehouse and unload each container piece by piece myself! This is after I paid $17k for “door-to-door” service!!!! No apologies nor reimbursement either!

"Very bad customer service."

Very bad customer service.
Took them 12 days to get 3 pods from California to Dallas Texas.
I highly don’t recommend them

"Caveat Emptor the pods leak furniture , boxes, and small pools of water inside the pod."

I retained upack in Connecticut to move to Florida. The agents and delivery were fantastic.

I did not anticipate my contents would be wet upon arrival. I have a beautiful love seat that got soaking wet on the arm. Furthermore the plastic totes actually had small pools of water.

In Florida they did not text an arrival time like the Ct office. I wasn't home when the pods arrived. My son was here . Unfortunately the pods faced in the wrong direction for unloading. I understand partly the blame is my son not knowing. However, in Ct the communication was great. I called the Fl Bratenton office asking could they please relocate the pods. My first contact was Thursday. He said he would try. He asked me to call in Friday. I was going to have hired help to unload. On Friday he said he would try. In life honesty is the best policy. On Thursday I would have appreciated a direct we can't. The movers were available Friday but I canceled in Hope's they would move the pods. The location totally blocked the garage. Plus the movers had to carry everything on the grass rather than cement. I truly didn't want anyone getting hurt. In the end Friday got canceled. The mover couldn't come Saturday. So we ended up paying a premium for Sunday.

Aside from the inability to relocate the pods , my shock was my beautiful love seat got wet. The small pools of water on totes . Boxes damp.

Water inside the pods is totally unacceptable. At first in Ct I was very satisfied. However lack of candor and wet furniture and boxes is purely unacceptable.

Caveat emptor.

"Overall Great Experience"

I must say I was highly discouraged from using U-Pack after seeing all the bad reviews. In fact, the night before my cube was set to be delivered I tried to cancel and switch to another provider. But boy am I happy I used this company. The cube was dropped off on time in Ohio. It was picked up on time and delivered to California in just 6 days total. No physical or water damage in the cube. Great communication along the way when I needed to change my cube pick up date and my method of payment. ZERO HICCUPS.

"UPack will cancel on you last minute!"

They cancelled my confirmed reserved trailer one week before my scheduled cross country move! I had reserved the trailer 2 months ago, knowing that it would be near impossible to book a moving truck from anywhere if I waited too long. I thought I was squared away, but got a call yesterday from UPack telling me they just realized they didn’t actually have the inventory and they had cancelled my reservation. My move is literally NEXT WEEK! They offered no help, suggestions, alternatives, NOTHING. Just “No more trailer for you, bye!” Why even have a reservation system, if it doesn’t actually reserve anything?? And, according to the UPack rep who called me, he was spending his whole day making similar calls to other UPack customers. So, if you make a “reservation” it could be YOU they call and cancel last minute, leaving you stressed and desperate.
I spent MY day calling 15 other movers/storage/truck rental places before I finally found a solution that’s costing me THOUSANDS more than I planned. Please, don’t make the same mistake I, and so many others, did. Don’t use UPack!

"Stay AWAY!"

The order creation was nice and easy and everyone was friendly. Then came out the true nature of y’all. Delivery day came and no cube till after the allotted time. When calling to inquire on eta, I was told it would be there any time. It was such a horrendous experience with everything scheduled and movers waiting to load and elevator scheduled but no cube. Had to escalate and put a rush and cube arrived a hour later. Movers ended up charging 200$ While giving us such a hard time. Spoke to a manager /supervisor next morning expressing concerns and he was very arrogant and hung up the phone. Not sure bc heat kind of management personnel y’all hire. Pick up day came next day and again, done one showed up like 8 hours later. It’s a condo that has a permit for overnight parking and yet again I had chase after your folks at 10 pm for pick up. You guys seriously need to get your acts together. I’d never use such company with such ethics and staff behaviour. All this was the pain we had to endure moving an elderly lady. My grandmother. I’d ask everyone do themselves a favour and stay away.

"Terrible Experience, Terrible Customer Service."

I ordered a cube. Was told it would be there between 12 and 4 pm. Had movers there ready to pack. Called at 3PM. Was told it would be there by 4PM as promised. Called at 4PM. Was told it was en route. Called at 4:30 PM. Same dispatcher (each call). Called again at 5:45 PM. Finally admitted they couldn't find an empty cube and the trucker was on his way to Arcadia to pick one up to deliver to Van Nuys. Trucker showed up at 7PM. I was out money for the movers, who I had to pay and they were unable to do anything. Had to hire separate people for the following day. Out $600. They gave me a $100 discount, then sent me an invoice with the original amount quoted, with no discount. I had to call AGAIN. I was told I would have to "prove" what was said and forward emails to that effect, which I did. Fast forward five days and no new invoice with no adjusted amount. Called AGAIN. Spoke to a guy who named Jeffrey, who was GLIB, didn't apologize for bad customer service, nor my inconvenience, nor the measly discount, considering I was out $600, just said, "LIFE HAPPENS." WORST SHIPPING COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH. DO NOT HIRE THEM. GO TO MATSUN AND SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE. If I could undo things, I would. They basically get your things and then don't care about the experience. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ALL TIME. Had they admitted to me when I first called that there would be a considerable delay, I would have released the movers and saved money. But they manipulated the situation, not caring about MY EXPERIENCE at all. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

"DO NOT TRUST THESE A#*HOLES"

DO NOT TRUST THESE A#*HOLES! 5 Days before my trailer was to be delivered after making my reservation over 6 weeks ago, I was told they can't do anything for me and cancelled my reservation with no offer to help me what so ever! Now I have a 4 bedroom house ready to be moved and nothing to pack into and no one to even help me pack because the folks I had scheduled to help all have other places to be after this date.

"Unpack took advantage of us in Covid"

We hired unpack to move us to Georgia. By the time we had arrived there our contractor had contracted Covid and was going to be out of work for an unforeseen amount of time due to complications. We decided to head to my parents place in Florida till we could figure out a next step and asked upack of storage was available. They told us 500/month. Once we got situated we requested it be shipped to the new address. Not only was the few hours away going to cost us another $2000 to ship it but they would not prorate the 10 days of storage we used. They said we owed the entire 500. I asked for Neils managers information and he refused to provide it. He said I wouldn’t get a different answer from them. He refused to provide a last name. He also said, it was written in our contract that they don’t prorate storage. Considering that storage was never discussed, the representative that organization the storage for us, should have mentioned that.
Yes, this situation was something we were going to have to accept and pay the additional money for but this company took advantage of our bad circumstances. So all together almost $5000. They should be ashamed. Covid put us in a bad situation and upack was happy to reap the benefits.
