"Do not waste time"

Would not reccomend to get your car valued with this company. Person who came was unprofessional. If you take a look at the other bad reviews there is not much to add here. Same experience.

Assessor booked. Then cancelled at short notice. Office closed. Called back next day. Different reasons given as to why assessor cancelled so would seem just made up an excuse. Attempted to reschedule but told offer expired and would need to start over again. Not transparent, or trustworthy. And time wasters

"Simple and hassle free"

Selling my car through Manheim/ auto trader was extremely simple and hassle free. Paul Doyle talked me through the process start to end. Paul was professional and provided great customer service throughout the appointment, contacting me before the appointment and updating me before he was due to arrive.

Due to this I highly recommend this service compared to companies such as 'we buy any car' which I have dealt with in the past on a previous vehicle, I found the customer service with Manheim much better overall and was given a fair price for my vehicle.

"Straightforward lease inspection"

Recently had my lease car inspected and collected by Mainheim on behalf of my lease finance company. The guys let me know when they would be arriving and turned up on time. Very polite and courteous, and took about 25 mins to inspect and then present me with the report for sign off.

I’ve leased cars for years and I’ve never had a bad experience with any inspection. At the end of the day, you know the condition of the car you’ve been driving, and in my opinion any negative reviews are the result of people who simply didn’t take care and are looking for blame. Remember the inspection companies earn nothing from finding damage - it’s a flat fee service to the finance company who in turn set the price caps for different types of damage (and will give you a price list ahead of inspection if you ask).

"Waste of time"

Waste of time , took a day off work , as was given appointment and price to purchase a car. Called on the day and said they didn’t think they could fit it in and he needed to get a sandwich to eat . Then was not answering my calls . Phoned office that was a joke after being on call for 20 mins they came back on the call and dropped the call . Avoid !

"Don`t believe the price that Autotrader value your car at."

Asked for a genuine valuation on my car and was given a price in excess of £25000, however once the unsavoury representative was happy with the paperwork he asked to go on a test drive which was perfectly satisfactory he then inspected the car and claimed to have found two minor scratches on the body work which neither my self, wife or neighbours could see, he then devalued the car by approx £1000. The car is a nearly new Mercedes in immaculate condition. An honest inspection would have been appreciated and not a excuse to devalue the car. Sellers by aware its a none ploy to give you a price so you are interested and then any excuse to reduce the value.

"Beyond Terrible Autotrader Instant Cash (via Manheim)…"

Autotrader Instant Cash (via Manheim) is beyond terrible. First they didn’t show up on the scheduled collection day despite me calling to confirm an hour before their latest time window where Manheim advised they were on the way, costing me an entire days pay. Then, on the rescheduled day, they spent over 2 hours backwards and forwards with the office team arguing about 2 tiny stone chips on a 10 year old car. Overall giving me a ridiculously low offer in price, £2000 lower than stated. The team leader that came out to inspect the car said he was embarrassed and apologised for wasting my time. I will never even entertain using this service again and will strongly recommend to anyone else not to as well.

I decided to sell my car through Autotrader and their Partner Manheim, who it turns out are a big car auction house.
The system works like webuyanycar, but they come to you rather than the other way round.
You fill out a very easy questionnaire about the condition of your car and you have to 'fess up to any shortcomings.
I started the process, Tuesday evening, I received a call the next day to agree an appointment for Thurday 23rd.
A lovely fellow called CARL WELSTEAD, came to my house he inspected the car took it for a short test drive, he agreed the car was as I described and within the hour I had sold the car and been paid in full. A tremendous experience and so far, far better than the nightmare I had with Motorway (also reviewed here).
