"Second time- and excellent!"

As my second experience with Manhiem, todays sale was an excellent experience. Steve, the valuer was very thorough, friendly and professional. A very fair price was the final offer -in fact a bit more than we were expecting. Certainly a strong recommendation from me.

Interesting that this company initially quoted the highest price of all the people I spoke to but then cut their offer to the lowest price of everyone with no explanation. I suspect this is their operating model in the hope that people will just go with it. £1100 drop in offer on a a sub 10k car. What a waste of everyone’s time.

"Avoid if the car has been ‘owned’"

I was given a price online from my 5 month old car which seemed fair. Given the car is so new and hardly used (second car) it was in perfect condition.
After over an hour of back and forth photos with the inspector actually telling me they can’t believe it’s so perfect (they were desperately trying to find a fault) they gave me a new price.
The price was £750 less!!! When I asked why the inspector said it’s because ‘it’s had an owner’! Well of course it’s had an owner otherwise how would I be selling it. Utterly shocking service.
AVOID!!!

"Absolute dishonest and deceitful…"

Absolute dishonest and deceitful organisation,received a valuation from auto trader who use Mannheim to value the vehicles,my car was immaculate,the inspector used an aero blade to get rain off the vehicle and scratched the bonnet in the process,got on the phone with manager for 30min and then proceeded to devalue the vehicle by £1000 due to the car having after market alloys fitted,which I clarified with a manager on the phone and was told that this would not lower the valuation,Mannheim then proceeded to lower the price by a further £400 for no reason other than that was what they were willing to offer,this was the second time an inspector came out as on initial visit I was unhappy with lower price due to alloys and the second appointment was arranged after a manager clarified that there would be no reduction in price due to alloy wheels as there is nothing to specify this on autotrader valuation website,I work as an ambulance driver and had to take 2 days leave to deal with this as inspection slots are limited,absolutely disgusting way to run a business,Mannheim and auto trader should be ashamed of themselves,they should tell customers upfront what they are willing to offer and not waste there customers time and damage customer vehicles in the process,these inspectors are told by there managers to be dishonest and not genuine,i’am at a loss of earnings for 2 days due to this company and feel as if they were manipulating me to sell the vehicle for a lower price due to the fact that my partner is pregnant and I was in need of the cash,no deal was made.

Absolutely shocking. Was given a price (via Autotrader cash offer) of 9300GBP for my car. Inspector arrived, spent around 1.5 hours taking photos (which I had already provided), driving the car, checking out all the docs, agreed it was FSH vehicle.
He then sent across to 'HQ' for verification, they stated there were further chips (5 extremely small ones on the rear bumper) and claimed the vehicle was not FSH despite Mercedes approving it WAS and thus knocked the price down to 8400GBP ! ... waste of everyones time and thoroughly dishonest ... why bother if you are not going to get anywhere near the price offered. Refused to even meet somewhere in the middle to get the sale !

I subsequently sold the vehicle back to Mercedes for 9200GBP 3 days later ! ...

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ....

The computer was very slow, but Maria was patient at every step. I am pleased with the sale of my car, and would recommend this company.

I am happy to share that I had an excellent experience using Manheim via Autotrader. Chris McAllister was the appointed purchaser, he arrived on time and explained the whole process of the inspection and what was involved. I found him to be helpful, friendly and professional. Chris inspected the car thoroughly, took it for a test drive and then confirmed the price with me. The whole process took about an hour and was easy and convenient throughout. Funds were in my account before the purchaser left with an arrangement to collect the car within 5 days. All round a great service from a really nice guy thanks ☺️

Great service good price if you give a honest description Brian came on time did his inspection took a hour found some small marks took small amount off money in account soon afterwards and DVLA notification as car was transferred to trade
