"Dreadful experience"

Manheim turned up to do an inspection after a 2 year lease.The inspector said there was rippling in the paintwork where a professional repair had been done and a charge of £210 made to make good.When shown I honestly couldn’t see anything and so took photos which also show nothing.I feel totally ripped off and cheated as the vehicle had been kept in immaculate condition.

If selling you’re vehicle to these guys make sure you request Suzanna as the one who comes out and inspects your vehicle she made selling my car simple and went out of her way to get the price I was looking for. I will definitely use this service again if I need to sell another vehicle.

"DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY"

This company is not to be trusted so BEWARE. They quoted a price of £7,434 for my car which I accepted and arranged an inspection. They found 4 very small marks on the paintwork and knocked £690 off the price admitting the deduction is more than the cost of the work needed!
They did not take into consideration that the car has only ever had one owner since new (13 plate) nor the very low mileage at just under 32,000.
They try to scam people who may be vulnerable just so they can make as much money as possible by giving you as little as they can.
I would definitely NOT TRUST or recommend them.

We have used Manheim before and had a good experience, this time, not so much.

I had the autotrader guaranteed quote. I spoke with Manheim (the guy on the phone was lovely and very helpful) who knocked £100 off for having only 2 months' MOT (!). Then the assessor came today. And took £1000 off the price for 1 scratch and the fact that the service book has some stamps which werent dated.

I ran the car through autotrader again to take account of these, and only £250 was knocked off.

Moral of the story. Avoid.

I would first like to say that Abi in the customer services was great and very professional 👍 unfortunately that's were it stops, these guys are nothing but scammers and try and prey on the vulnerable, they offered me a price of £25 935 for my car even though it retails at just under £31000, they then send a man round who was polite, but had no intention of honoring the price, he took photos of everything including the locking wheel nut. Then came the BS, tried to tell me that my car didn't have full service history cause 2021 was missing, well he must of forgot covid was about. Also porshe advise every 2 years or 20000 miles, the car has done 51500 miles and has had 4 complete services, and 4 other checks.Then he said that he worked for manheim and he was the man, I wouldn't be able to get anyone else to offer more, cause his company was so big and good they have there fingers in every car sales pie in the UK, I quote " there isn't a car that gets sold without us having something to do with it " they were his words. All the time that he is saying this he's on a link with his so called valuers the same ones that gave the first valuation and came back with an offer of £23500, The man then repeated I am the right person to sell to, you won't get a better price of anyone. We buy any car offered £24,500 and we all know what there like, Oh maybe there fingers don't stretch that far. Just so everyone is aware what a rip off they really are autotrader advised me to advertise the car at £28050.00. Manheim you should really train your guys to read body language and know when someone isn't going to be ripped of by total BS

I wanted to sell my Mercedes CLA 35AMG car, so I got a quote from Auto trader that Manheim company GUARANTEE to buy your car with a valuation of 40K in 1 week. Unfortunately, nobody call me and when I called the company they refuse to buy my car. The reason they told me was about we will not buy a high-valuation car and the computer gave you a quotation. I lose my customer that wanted to buy my car just because of them. Shame for this company to try to scam people by first finding a customer to sell the car after that they come and get the car.

Sold my fiat 500 to this company this morning and got the price they offered to me at valuation the process was very easy and payment was made into my bank account in around 15 minutes of them having my bank details Paul who came to assess my car was very helpful and explained everything in detail very relaxed and easy transaction would recommend
