He came out to inspect my 3 year old, 21000 mile lease car that was due to be returned. He found "faults" totalling £760. I will hold my hands up to £416. for a missed service and a couple of very minor faults that I would have expected to be classified as fair wear and tear, the rest were a complete fabrication.

He inspected the car, and confirmed the price would be the same as the quote I had been given online. The guy Chris was late came out looked at the car and admitted that it was the companies policy to find as many faults as possible in order to reduce the buying price. I refused. "Misleading Customers with unobtainable pre-inspection prices"

It would appear that Manhiem’s business model relies on promising an unobtainable pre-inspection price which is higher than their competitors in an attempt to get the appointment and then ‘low ball’ the customer following the inspection. Certainly, this is our experience where we were offered £800 less that the supposedly ‘guaranteed’ price on what is an almost perfect example of the vehicle in question – I know I’m biased but, in this case, it’s true. The only thing that was found during the inspection was a few paint scratches on the bonnet - not chips, shallow scratches which we were not even able to see during our own check out of the vehicle prior to the inspection. They were just a consequence of the car being used and would have been addressed in a short time with T-Cut and some elbow grease. Needless to say, we did not take the offer, resulting in the whole process just being a waste of time.

Shaun who works for Manheim is a racist. He wasted my time by missing the address several times. He inspected the car and did not collect the vehicle despite it being in good condition as he said the car was dirty which was later confirmed to be a lie by the email sent to me from Nissan financial services apologizing for the whole bad experience. He should be demoted and sacked from his job.
