"REALLY BAD MANAGEMENT - RUBBISH WEBSITE !"

I'm not the only one, in fact 45% gave a 1 Star Rating and so have I.
The Cox/ Manheim WEBSITE has been a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE FOR YEARS with staff saying they would fix it, I personally asked them at least a Dozen times for sure !! ....still virtually the same as 10 years ago -FACT
As an organisation they are a complete nightmare, isn't a website the best way to sell anything ?
Well Manheim do not want to listen, if you have shares in this company, pull them out fast .... it WILL GO DOWN THE PAN ! Sorry but I think that this is true.
5 UK branches closing soon and 6 in the USA and at least a couple more in the pipeline, why because BCA offer more to their Vendors - FACT AGAIN.
As a buyer for many years now, they have introduced a tiering system on the Buyers fees 9-10 years ago, all very well then when stock was readily available but they do not have the PHYSICAL stock now..ABOUT 2500 cars a couple of days ago, a few days before 1900 with loads of very high mileage cars, not for me !!!
I recently [because I buy under 14 cars a year, paid about £780 commission on a £18100 car !!!!!], well there is a place called STOP.

Extremely shifty/greedy organisation, they call this joke an auction...you bid you won.. then you receive a call from them asking to pay few grands on top of your winning bid...so basically they want you to buy their worn/torn vehicle for more than the market price...Unbelievable

"Manheim Jokers... AVOID"

I cannot give this company nil stars but I would if I could.

We inherited a car from my wife's late father. It was a 10 year old Merc with FSH, a service contract with Mercedes Blackpool for the life of the car and in VGC. We were quoted 7.9k over the phone which was a little under but OK, I pointed out the issues I could see with the car, minor scuffs on the alloys, tiny missing detail on the trim etc.

They cancelled the first time, their fault; the guy was ill. Fair enough but the mail they sent was ambiguous. They had called me too but I was out so missed the call. This was re-arranged.

For the re-scheduled visit, the guy turned up and he was perfectly polite but after looking over the car and then going for a test drive, we waited 20 mins while he was on his mobile to base. He finally came back and said the offer was not 7.9 but 6.8. At this point I said no tks and moved to close the door on him. As I was closing the door he asked me what I would accept for the car. I said a number and closed the door shut. At that point I realised the type of company it was and frankly wasn't interested in doing business with them.

The funny thing is they called me the next day to ask me if I had (re)-considered my decision. I told them politely no. I was tempted to say something else but the sales guy was perfectly courteous.

In summary, their sales people and POS person were perfectly affable but AVOID this company at all costs.

Their quote presumably must be be based on a concours car, not a car in VGC, v well maintained and with low mileage. They are not IMO a respectable company. Place an advert online if you have a HALF DECENT CAR.

AVOID these JOKERS.

NB: I have posted the car today on Autotrader, had numerous calls and have accepted the asking price of 8k. FYI, Autotrader's suggested price was 8.6k.

I have to say, it reflects poorly on Autotrader that they are associated with this company. Their corporate governance / marketing functions should take note.

Absolutely useless, customer service is even worse. They will hang up on you when they can't answer something. Have never dealt with such an incompetent company.
They will make up fake information on your car to give you a terrible price.

Avoid at all costs, nothing but a waste of time.

"Try Mannheim is my advice"

Unlike the ‘broker’ sites, this was a direct purchase so instead of being shunted off to a random dealer, within minutes of making the on-line enquiry via Autotrader I had a phone call, a provisional offer and a specific time and date to suit me for the Mannheim engineer to call. He called me prior to the visit to confirm, inspected the car, reported back and the final offer was within approx £100 of the original and the money was in the bank shortly after. Cant fault them. Engineer Stuart McD a credit to them and very professional .

I have dealt with manhiem for many many years and bought many a car but i phoned manheim accounts to check to find out if you can still attend (joe public) to view and bid on cars and was told that public cannot attend you have to have a business account or traders account only and public cannot attend auctions, looks like what started out has a public car auction has now become for the elites only, has usual the joe public riffraff has been pushed out again.

Ross came and evaluated the car. He took it for a test drive, uploaded a lot of photos and waited for his valuation to be approved by head office. All was done efficiently and politely. Head office took a little while to get back to him, but the payment was processed swiftly and the DVLA notified. All in all I am very happy with the service.

"Shocking company"

Shocking company, I’ve bought a few cars from this company with a good vehicle check report, this is a false illusion, myself and other fellow traders decided to stop buying vehicles from here or we would go bankrupt. A dumping ground for main dealers Px cars that are non cost effective to prepare for retail.
You are probably better off putting your money on a roulette table than trying to earn a profit out of Mannheim auctions.
As normal extortion on fees and no support.
You will be better off cleaning toilets!
