"Very disappointed ☹️"
Very disappointed with this company. I wanted to sell my car because I don’t use it anymore. Put all the details in and was given a value of £4,200. The man came to check it and because of a couple of little stone chips on the bonnet offered me £3,400? Of course I said No. The car is 8 years old, so stonechips are hardly surprising. Avoid.

"AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS !!!"
Avoid this company at all costs!!!!!! Nil stars !!!! Initial enquiry was fine. I was very honest with my car description. Received quote pending inspection. Quote accepted. Maria would be calling to inspect between 8 & 1. Nigel !!! turned up at 12.30. I left my place of work in a nursing home at lunchtime, one of the busiest times of the day for my dementia residents to attend inspection. An hour and a half later the quote dropped by £1500 because the clutch was slipping !!!! Did I realise this Nigel questioned. When you have the car in second gear and put your foot to the floor that’s when you know!!!! When am I ever going to do this!!! It’s a KA not a Land Rover!!! They were no longer interested in purchasing my vehicle. Absolute joke and a complete waste of my time and effort!!!! Original inspection time including a test drive was estimated at 30 minutes ! An hour and a half later inspection completed. Heated discussion between inspector and call centre took place while he sat on my drive in my car. Haggling on whether or not the car was worth purchasing. NO was the eventual answer paperwork handed back Nigel couldn’t get away quick enough. Spoke to a manager this morning to make a complaint. Although polite not at all interested. Recommended getting the clutch done and going to a different company !!!! What a joke. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM. My car has been looked after I’ve had it five years and I have maintained it. It’s worth more to me than a quote from a company worth a few hundred pounds !!! All they want is a near perfect car they can sell on as quickly as possible with a profit . Whilst ripping you off in the process !!!

"Sold our car via autotrader to Manheim…"
Sold our car via autotrader to Manheim Ltd
Although some communication issues earlier in the process but once got in Andrew’s hands, things went very smooth.
Andrew came exactly on time. He contacted me the day before and explained the process clearly (only bit that was not mentioned was the time it would take which was around 95 minutes). He was very professional throughout and a pleasure to deal with.
Thanks Andrew 🙂

"Manhiem were booked to inspect my lease…"
Manhiem were booked to inspect my lease car for the 20th July. A lovely man called Chris rang me the day before to tell me he would be with me the next day at 2.00pm. 2.30pm the next day arrived and no Chris. I called customer service to be told Chris was running a little late and he would be with me withing 10 minutes. At 3.10pm Keith arrived (not chris). Keith was very rude and thought he was funny, I wasn't amused and left him to inspect the car. 20 minutes or so later Keith told me the inspection was complete. I asked him when the care would be collected and he had no idea. 11.30am the next day I get a call to say they would be with me between 1.30pm-2pm. I kindly told them that time was convenient as I was out and hadn't been told they were coming. I was told someone would call me back to arrange. I called back the next day to be told that my car needed to be inspected first. I told them it had been inspected and I had a copy of the report. They tried to tell me the inspection had been aborted then apologised after finding it. I told them it needed collecting ASAP as I was going abroad (I'm still abroad) and was asked if an adult would be in to hand the keys over to which I agreed. I've heard nothing since and my partner has just informed me that the car is still sat outside of our house. Shocking service and clearly don't want the car back.

"They don't honour their quotes, even before inspection."
Manheim initially offered a quote of £4450 for my vehicle, I was happy with this and scheduled in for an examination of the car the following Monday which I arranged time away from work to be free for.
I received a call on the morning the driver was supposed to arrive explaining that the driver wasn't sure if his van had been vandalised or not and therefore could no longer come out to the job. I suspect this was more to do with the heat than genuinely vandalism related but I guess we'll never know. I accepted this and re-arranged for an inspection that Friday, and was told that the valuation of the vehicle had gone up by a whopping £25, hear we go, making some serious bank I thought.
Until my phone rang this afternoon and Darren the "i'm a manager at Manheim" chap left a voicemail saying they were no longer honoring the quote as he'd done some looking and could see the car was originally registered in Ireland, and to call back because he'd cancelled the booking and I would need to be requoted.
I did this almost immediately in the hopes that they hadn't yet cancelled and there must have been some mistake, but, was told that the new valuation would now be £900 less owing to the location of the registration.
Got to say, they've demonstrated a massive lack of integrity and I would completely advise avoiding Manheim via Autotrader as it turns out to be a waste of time and effort. You're better off aiming for a private sale, Autotrader has estimated the car is worth £2k more than the original Manheim quote, so we'll see what happens.
Avoid Manheim

"Absolute joke of a company"
Absolute joke of a company, avoid at all costs!! Cancelled 3 seperate times without a care in the world after waiting in all afternoon for them between 1 and 6. Never dealt with such a useless Company in my life. Read the reviews and just stay away from them. You are better going elsewhere. If I could give zero stars i would.

"Good and bad points of using Manheim"
Good points:
> Quick to pay you (once the deal is done)
> Will Frazer (comes out to look at the car) is great to deal with
Bad points:
> Even when you are honest on your initial appraisal - be aware Manheim Head Office will pay less than you were originally quoted when it comes to it.
* I had tyre repair foam missing in my boot (which I wasn't aware of) - and of course that is fair enough however; they reduced my quote down by over £300 pounds!!!! (You can buy these for around £30 quid)*
> No room for negotiation or appeal once a price is issued
Unfortunately, this has left a bad taste in the mouth. Yes, you accept a low price in the first place by using a service like this (rather than selling privately for a higher price) but to then be stiffed right at the last minute by their Head Office, unfortunately means that my experience of Manheim has now been soured.

"Not trustworthy and unhelpful"
Locked in a price had a reference code and it CLEARLY says it expires 10/07/2022. Todays date is 09/07/2022 and they refuse to accept my reference. How can it be expired before the final date , workers on the phone useless and didn’t offer too help at all. Instead suggest get a new reference what comes out too be a couple hundred pounds less than original value. Poor company and with false advertising.
