"AVOID THEY ARE TOTALLY INCOMPETENT WITH…"
AVOID THEY ARE TOTALLY INCOMPETENT WITH UNBENDABLE RIDICULOUS RULES
I found them through Compare the Market.com. I was interested in their Life Benefit policies with annual limits of £7.5K and £10K with unlimited numbers of illnesses. The girl I spoke to on the phone was either not capable of doing the job or not properley trained. It ended up in her sending me 2 quotes for one of my 2 dogs for different limits but the same quotation reference for both which she said she couldn't rectify. At one point I had decided to proceed with this company. The girl however didn't know the difference between a credit card, debit card and bank details for direct debit and I was put on hold whilst she sought out a team leader. I noted that the call to them took 52 minutes and nothing got resolved. I regrettably had given her my bank details and in a flash without having emailed me the relevant quote they'd already applied for a direct debit mandate to be set up. I hadn't even received the promised email quote for the policy I was thinking of going ahead with, and still to this date I haven't received that email quotation confirmation. With all of the mistakes she'd made I told her in less than 30 seconds of making my decision to go ahead to immediately cancel any arrangements for a policy. They wouldn't cancel the policy and told me that the first payment from my bank account would have had to have gone through before the poliy could be cancelled and advised that it would then be a case of the policy only then being cancelled and them having to arrange a refund for the money they'd have taken from my account, how ridiculous is that? Finally I contacted my bank and they cancelled the direct debit. Depite my bank having done that and me informing Insurance for Paws that the direct debit had been cancelled (which they confirmed to me later by email) they still wouldn't cancel the policy until their direct debit madate was due to take the funds from my account on 3rd January. I went through a lot of worry and stress caused by their incompetence and ridiculous and seemingly unbendable rules until finally after chasing numerous times the policy was indeed finally cancelled 3rd January, 2025, This firm are a complete and utter shower and I would not recommend them to anyone.
I have received your standard response from Hari who seems to answer all of your complaints. This complaint is already in the hands of your colleagues, Dima. Adrienne Ledwidge and Mr David Butler in your complaints department. I am not going to waste any more of my time on your organisation. I just hope that my warning about your company prevents others from going through the grief I have had with you all

"My attempts to contact InsureYourPaws…"
My attempts to contact InsureYourPaws regarding a claim submitted last summer have repeatedly failed with endless waits on call holding without success. I have had no communication from the company relating to the claim despite my vet submitting the relevant papers 6 months previously.

"Great cover for a fair price"
Great cover for a fair price.
Only the excess to pay, unlike others that wanted 20% of the cost too!
Hoping I don't need to use it, but will give another review should I need to.

"Do not use this company"
Do not use this company! 9 weeks since claim was made, still waiting for them to even look at the claim. Customer service is also a disgrace. Can’t get them on the phone as on hold forever, took 2 weeks to respond to an email telling me the average claim time was 4-6 weeks.

"Do not buy. Awful claims experience. "
Do not buy. Awful claims experience. Currently £783 out of pocket and despite claim being submitted over 6 weeks ago & me chasing via phone & email, I have no idea if it will be paid. The claim wasn't even logged until I phoned 12 days after it was submitted, they had to go and find it. This is for dental treatment & stressful enough. I would not want to have to deal with them for a claim if my dog was seriously ill.
Updated: 6 weeks after the claim, still no payment or update on an outcome. Having submitted a complaint to InsureYourPaws, their response is that they have passed it onto the claims company and it is up to the claims company to contact me. During the 6 weeks since the claim, the "claim company" have made no contact with me. InsureYourPaws appear to be effectively saying it is not their problem - it is up to the claim company to sort out. Very poor service as my contract is with InsureYourPaws.
