I have had awful experiences.. they are scam/con artists taking advantage of people who don't buy their insurance..they have falsely charged me for existing scratches to the car bumper. Please DO NOT rent a car from Drivo. YOU WILL get an accident report claiming you owe them over 2000 for someone else damage.

Just be careful, a very SHADY car rental. They prey on their customers, lure them in with their cheap prices and then hit them with hidden fees. They will have you sign several documents with fine prints that will haunt you afterwards. They said I had a scratch on the car above the right tire which was unnoticeable at the time of rental. When I returned the rental a day earlier, I was told I would not get any reimbursements and they had noticed a scratch. This seems a regular practice from Drivo-rent-a-car when reading reviews online. Their insurance company sent an inflated estimate to my insurance company. The scratch could have been buffed which is what my insurance company suggested. But their estimate included changing from the right door to the fender and having the rented car out of commission for 7 days. They milked my insurance company and then billed me the difference my insurance company disputed. No wonder Drivo-rent-a-car has fraudulent charges against them to resolve consumer fraud allegations. Never again will I rent a car again from Drivo-rent-a-car. I learned my lesson. BEWARE and do your homework when renting at Drivo-rent-a-car, check your rental car thoroughly and then jump in to take the risk. Popular travel websites should ban them from their sites because they sell a scam. ACE & FOX operate under Drivo-rent-a-car.

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. i took a trip to New York and pick up my car from the JFK location. When i arrived it was dark. The counter associate told me that i have to get their basis insurance in New York to cover the vehicle. I told them that i have my own car insurance. That did not matter they still charged me 200 dollars for insurance. Only to find out later when i complained to their corporate office that the counter associate stated that i did not have my own insurance. They took video and pictures of the car and noted all the dents. I drove off. about a hour in my trip i saw that the low tire pressure alert went off. i called the JFK location and they told me not their problem, it mine now. I put air in the tire and when i got to my destination found a nail in the tire. The nail had been in the tire for weeks. I had to get it repaired on my own dime. so drive got 200 insurance and a new tire out of me. DO NOT under any circumstances use this car rental company. you get exact what you pay for. i wish i read the reviews on this company before i rented the car. Message to DRIVO - i tried to contact you to resolve and you just told me you are going to do nothing. you should close your doors now.

Us up from the airport. We landed at 8 and didn’t get our car until
10:30. It made a long day of travel even longer. I will never use them again. It’s not worth the $5 a day save.

Unfortunately Drivo or ACE fits the saying: you get what you pay for! Lesson learned from me. 1) the place is external to EWR so takes longer to get there from P4 a shuttle is needed. Don’t go to Terminal A where most other rental are 2) customer service is lower than average, they don’t even have a restroom in that facility 3) the car I got while it drove fine the brakes (rotors) needed fixing, every time I hit the brakes steering wheel was shaking! Due to timing I could not go back and get another car.
So buyer beware.
